Imp Servants

• Servant's Post: a two-block pillar topped with a blood orb. It has 27 shared storage slots and a 1,000 mB blood tank.
• Work Contract: use it on your post, then on your bound imp within 16 blocks, to put the imp to work.
• Three jobs, each covering a 13×13 area around the post:
  • Farm harvests and replants wheat, carrots, potatoes and beetroot (5 blood per crop).
  • Gather collects dropped items and carries them home (2 blood per stack).
  • Feed breeds adult animals from stored food (10 blood per parent).
• Idle or failed work costs nothing. Fill the post's tank with vials, a dagger offering, or pipes into its base. Hoppers underneath pull out its items.

Lycanthropy

• Rite of the Werewolf (Circle of Hellfire, 6,000 blood, Overworld Blood Moon): at night you take a wolf form with claws and a tail. It gives +3 melee damage, +20% speed and +4 armor, but you grow hungry faster.
• Dread Howl: a defensive burst that knocks back and slows nearby enemies.
• The Rite of Severance cures it. Vampire, cambion and werewolf curses can't be combined.

Transformation Abilities

Press V to use your form's ability. You can rebind it under Controls.

• Vampire, Nightwing: six seconds of bat flight for one Vial of Blood.
• Cambion, Soul Fire: casts the Sceptre's Hellfire Bolt with no heart cost.
• Lich, Raise Undead: calls two skeletal guards for 30 seconds, for one Tormented Soul. A lich who is also blood-cursed uses G instead.
• Cambions now visibly grow swept-back horns.

Four Practical Rites

• Regression: shows where you last died.
• Scrying: reveals a random structure within 1,024 blocks.
• Appeasement: buys back a spirit's favour.
• Protection: raises a ward against monsters for five minutes.

New Items

• Hellfire Pickaxe: a diamond-tier pickaxe that auto-smelts ores, using one brimstone per smelted item.
• Banshee's Veil: can now be used for 30 seconds of invisibility, on a 90-second cooldown.

Changes

• Well of Suffering: now also sends blood to a nearby Blood Well when there's no altar in reach or the altar is full. Altars still come first.
• Blood Moon: no longer spawns imps and hellhounds. It now brings extra ordinary monsters in dark places.
• Blood Conduits: redrawn as smoked-glass pipes with blood flowing inside, iron bands at each joint, and junction boxes at corners and branches.
• Crown of Domination: new item texture, and a clearer description of what it does.
• Codex:
  • A new Automation chapter with an overview of how the machines connect, and an icon index of each machine.
  • A new Transformations chapter with a spread for each form.
• Status effect tooltips now list their effects as bullet points and show your current key binds.
• Recipe book: recipes now unlock as you pick up their ingredients.
• Brimstone ore renamed: "Hellstone Brimstone Ore" is now Brimstone Ore, and the Nether variant is now Nether Brimstone Ore.
• Clearer textures for the Sacrificial Dagger, Soulreaver and Brimstone.

Compatibility

• The network protocol changed, so clients and servers must both run 1.0.2.
• Modded ores work with the Hellfire Pickaxe if they're in the c:ores tag and have a furnace recipe.
