Delta Tech
Long chains. Big machines. One star.
Delta Tech is a tech mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge) about deep industrial chains and huge machines. It runs on Forge Energy (FE), so its cables, batteries and generators work with the other big tech mods.
⚡ Five tiers of industry
Everything scales through LV, MV, HV, EV and UV.
- Cables from 256 up to 131,072 FE/t
- Fluid pipes from 100 up to 25,600 mB/t, made of glass so you can watch the fluid flow
- Item pipes to move items between machines
- Batteries from 100k up to 1G FE
Right-click any side with the Wrench to switch it between normal, extract, insert only or disconnected.
🏭 Machines and ore processing
- Crushers, hydraulic cleaners, centrifuges, presses, wiremills, assemblers, arc furnaces, lasers…
- Late game: nuclear compressors, thermonuclear and atomic supercompressors, a space-time breaker and a temporal reaction chamber.
- Some steps happen in the world:
- quench hot ingots in water
- forge the Delta Alloy in lava
- freeze water cells on blue ice
- charge crystals with lightning
🔋 Power generation
- Combustion generators and solar panels in 5 tiers
- Fission Generator and Extraterrestrial Generator
- Fusion Reactor multiblock (up to 65,536 FE/t)
- Heavy Steam Turbines (up to 204,800 FE/t each)
- Wireless energy: a transmitter opens a resonance portal and sends power to any number of receivers, across any distance and even between dimensions
🧱 Multiblocks that merge into one machine
When a multiblock is complete, its casings connect into one seamless machine.
- The Structure Projector shows a hologram of the current layer, and wrong blocks are marked in red.
- Energy, Item and Fluid Ports replace casings so you can plug in cables and pipes.
🌍 One giant power source per dimension
🔥 Project Ignis (Nether)
- Explore the Infernal Labyrinths, buried mazes full of wither skeletons and blazes.
- Take the Concentrated Magma Orb from the central chamber.
- Build the Ignis Magmatic Boiler around it. It turns water into up to 10,000 mB of steam per tick.
- Water boils away in the Nether, so the Hydro-Extraction Press squeezes it out of nether wart, fungi and ice.
🌌 Project Void Fracture (End)
- When the Ender Dragon dies, its energy streaks across the sky and tears Void Fractures open on the outer islands.
- Feed a fracture 1 billion FE before it collapses, with items or Void Infusion Lasers.
- Cage it inside the Quantum Singularity Cage for 262,144 FE/t and Quantum Void Essence.
☀️ Project Helios (Overworld)
- Launch 29 rocket payloads from the Helios Launch Complex to build a mirror station orbiting the sun.
- It beams sunlight down to the Intergalactic Heat Concentrator, which reaches 6,000 K and feeds steam to your turbines.
The three projects build on each other.
⏳ The Chronal Rift Engine: the final machine
The biggest machine of the mod: 15 × 14 × 15 blocks, built with parts from every other project. It tears a rift into another timeline and pulls 1,000,000 FE/t out of it.
- Its materials can only be made by Chronal Displacement: throw an item next to an antimatter breach and it comes back from another timeline.
- Seat an unstable oscillating crystal in the cradle, store 10,000,000 FE for the ignition, then wire a computer to the engine with a Data Cable.
- Start it from the Chronal Control console on the computer:
- pull the containment lever
- switch the right modules on
- set the compression sliders
- tune the field frequency until phase lock
- charge the capacitors
- lift the safety cover and turn the key
- smash the glass and slam the big red button
- A one-minute ignition sequence plays on screen and in the world.
- To take the engine down safely, drain it and run the shutdown procedure.
- ⚠️ Break one block while it runs and a singularity swallows everything within 48 blocks for a full minute… before a gigantic explosion.
💻 Delta PC and DeltaOS
A real little computer inside Minecraft:
- A desktop with windows, a start menu, a file manager, a text editor with Lua highlighting, a terminal, a calculator and settings.
- Lua apps with graphics, sound, files, HTTP and redstone APIs. Write your own tools and games!
- A web browser with real web pages and videos (requires MCEF and a Wi-Fi Router).
- Themes, accent colors, animated wallpapers, and even the color of the case and power LED.
🚀 Arsenal
A separate tab full of high-tech gadgets:
- Breaching Charge: stick it on a wall and flames burst out of the other side.
- Seeker Missile Launcher: lock a target and send a wild missile that dodges or burns through blocks.
- Swarm Missile Gun: 10 micro missiles per second.
- Antimatter Cannon: opens a space-time breach that swallows everything around it, then collapses in a huge explosion.
- Hunter Drone: throw the disc and it hunts the nearest mob.
- Orbital Strike Uplink: fly a recon drone high in the sky, lock a target and follow a supersonic missile down to the impact.
- Arsenal Turret: mount any gadget on it and it defends your base using FE instead of ammo.
📖 In-game manual
The Delta Manual explains everything:
- 3D multiblock previews you can rotate and browse layer by layer
- recipes
- search
- navigation history
🔌 Compatibility
- JEI: every recipe, including in-world steps
- Jade: machine status at a glance
- Create (optional): the Kinetic Dynamo turns rotation into FE, and the Kinetic Motor turns FE into rotation
- MCEF (optional): web browser on the Delta PC
All of these are optional. Delta Tech works on its own.
