v1.3.0 Changelog

  • This Update fixes Issue #1: Check the Hashing of the Resource Pack:
    • In v1.2.0 and below, the patcher would always re‑patch on startup.
    • In v1.3.0, the patcher now verifies the pack with a SHA‑256 hash and only patches once.
    • meaning, it doesn't have to be uninstalled after patching the resource pack anymore.
  • Added Backups:
    • The original Default-Dark-Mode-1.21.6-2025.6.0.zip is now preserved as a .zip.bak.
    • This ensures the original pack is always safe and can be used or patched again if needed.
  • Patched Output:
    • The patched pack is now saved as Default-Dark-Mode-25w42a-2025.10.0.zip.
  • pack.mcmeta Update:
    • Updated to Mojang’s new [major, minor] format for 1.21.9+.
    • Now uses [70, 1] for 25w42a snapshot compatibility.
    • Supported range updated from 63 (1.21.6) up to 70.1 (25w42a).

How to Use

  1. Install Default Dark Mode: Patcher (v1.3.0+).
  2. Start the game — the patcher will verify the original pack, back it up, and create the new patched pack.
  3. That’s it! You can enjoy your patched version of Default Dark Mode with the new changes!
