This guy right here has your back if you want safety. It has 2 attack speed and 7 damage, almost as good as an Axe and twice as fast as one.
It pushes enemies just like a Punch 1 enchanted bow, it does slightly lesser damage than a bow but it could also be used as a melee weapon, and not hard to craft. Decent safety.
It has +0.2 extra attack speed for the cost of -1 damage. The only great part of this trade is that you will be able to push back multiple mobs at a time. It is not bad for safety.
It may look like the attack speed is unnecessary with minecraft weapons, but you see; the sweep sword perk activates very often and this helps with killing multiple mobs attacking at once. And it's attack speed is forgiving for missed attacks so it is safe
This sword is the first sword to ever shoot out a projectile that bounces off of the blocks. It will drop a single xp for every hit with the projectile, it does around ~10 dmg on projectile hit. It has piercing 1, it will get piercing 5 after bouncing off.
It does lots of damage within matter of very short seconds. At first it starts off worse than the axe (wood, stone etc...) but then if you craft the better ones (diamond, netherite etc...) they are better than axes.
This weapon is currently THE best weapon for choice if you are interested in heavy-hitters. It is bascially like a Netherite Axe, does 10 damage and it is +0.3 attack speed faster than Netherite Axes.
It has +2 extra attack damage for the cost of -0.4 attack speed. This is a bad trade, but it is wood afterall. The trade will get better when you upgrade your tools.

Welcome, this mod is focused on adding weapons while trying not to break the vanilla style. More updates may come later on. Fun fact, I have been making mods for a long time but I haven't been publishing them. This is the first mod to ever be published by me. This mod adds 2 new sword types and couple extras. The new sword types being "Great Swords" and "Sabers" these may sound non-vanilla-friendly at first. But trust me, they pretty much are, you decide after looking through them!
Great Sword(s)
These gigantic swords are made for heavy-hits!
- The better their crafting material is, the better they are than axes.
- They trade their attacking speed for more damage.
The Saber(s)
These rapid swords are made for safety!
- The better the crafting material is, the higher their attack speed is.
- They trade their damage for more attack speed.
The Flint Spear
It might look weak but it is sharp enough to cut through air!
- This spear has an unique shape that if swung fast enough, it will send a sharp shockwave
- It will break fast, but it's shockwaves are fast enough to push the target back three meters
Echo Sword
This sword can send a bouncing warden ability projectile!
- It charges up for 2 seconds and sends a smaller Warden Sonic Boom projectile that bounces off of blocks.
- It has same stats as a Diamond Sword, except it has around 33% lesser durability.
- It will pierce through an entity and hit 2 in a row, if it bounces off a block; it will hit around ~6 entities before vanishing.
- Great for small crowded rooms.
