What's new

1.1.3 — Future Tech & Custom Gear

Sculpted armour

  • Every armour set is now a sculpted 3D suit, not blocky boxes or flat painted layers.
  • Exo-Suit: sleek plates over a woven undersuit, an eight-sided helmet and limbs, a single wraparound visor of light, a V-shaped chest around its glowing power core, shoulder plates with lit edges and a tapered waist - in all three schemes.
  • Storm Chaser: a hooded storm jacket with goggles on the peak, glowing reflective bands and a weather pack with an anemometer.
  • Deep Delver: a hard hat with a glowing brass headlamp, a leather vest with pouches, studded bracers, knee pads and steel-capped boots.
  • Resonant: teal crystal plate crowned with glowing resonite shards.
  • Hazmat suit: a rubber hood with a big visor and twin-filter respirator, taped seams and a glowing dosimeter.

Warp Gates

  • Build a 5×5 arch of Warp Gate Frames around a controller and dial any other gate on the server, in any world.
  • Seven chevrons lock around the arch, then the event horizon bursts open in a swell of rippling blue light.
  • Walk through and step out at the other gate - you, your animals, dropped items.
  • 200,000 FE a dial (600,000 to another world), 1,000 FE a tick while open; the far gate needs no power.
  • Name your gates with an anvil or a name tag.

Asteroid mining

  • Launch an Asteroid Miner satellite and place a Drop Pod Beacon under open sky.
  • Every five minutes a drop pod streaks down from orbit glowing from re-entry, fires its retro-thrusters, lands on the pad, opens its petals and unloads a haul of ores, gems and the occasional raw starmetal.
  • The haul comes from a loot table, so data packs can change it.

Hard-Light Projector

  • Projects a walkable bridge of solid light across chasms, rivers and lava - 8, 16 or 32 blocks long, one or three wide.
  • It builds out row by row, stops at obstacles, and draws back in when switched off.

Metallurgy: blend your own alloys, forge your own tools

  • Alloy Crucible: drop ingots of any metals into its four slots - iron, copper, gold, aluminum, lead, tungsten, steel, duralumin, tungsten steel, resonant alloy, neutronium, starmetal, even netherite - and it melts them together into alloy ingots of exactly that mix. Three iron and one gold make 75/25; blend alloys again for finer shares.
  • Tool Forge: forge a pickaxe, axe, shovel, sword or hammer from any alloy (or plain metal). Its screen previews the tool before you commit.
  • Every forged tool is different: durability, mining speed, damage and harvest level come from its metals, blends last longer than their parts, and it is named and coloured for what it is made of - a copper and gold pickaxe is a gleaming Cupro-Auro Pickaxe.
  • Traits: any metal making up a quarter of the tool lends its own - Conductive (runs on charge instead of wearing), Gilded (+1 Fortune and Looting), Light, Heavy, Unyielding (never breaks), Tempered, Swift, Reinforced, Resonant (hits ring out to nearby foes), Gravitic (drops go straight to your pack), Starlit (mends under the night sky) and Infernal (auto-smelts, sets foes alight). Mix up to four.
  • The forged hammer mines 3x3.

Coil Rifle and the Gunsmith Bench

  • A magnetic Coil Rifle that hits instantly, built from parts on four mounts - and the 3D model changes with every part you fit.
  • Barrels: coil slug, rail spike (pierces a whole line of foes), scatter (an eight-pellet spray) and arc (chain lightning that leaps from foe to foe).
  • Optics: holo sight (marks what you hit) or scope (sneak to zoom). Cells: standard, extended, or overcharge for harder hits. Under-barrel: bayonet, foregrip or laser sight (a red beam shows your aim).
  • Swap parts at the Gunsmith Bench: the rifle floats over its holo pad and its parts sit in the slots around it - take one out to remove it, drop one in to fit it. Power cells keep their charge.
  • Every shot has its own look: a cyan streak, a violet rail beam wrapped in a spiral, a spray of orange pellets, or a crackling arc.

Also new

  • Advancements: Event Horizon, Special Delivery, Light Bridge, Alloyed, Bespoke and Kitted Out.
  • New Field Manual chapters: "Future Tech", with the Warp Gate's build diagram, and "Custom Gear".
