DAI 1.9.1

DAI 1.9.1 is a stability and runtime patch for DAI 1.9, focused primarily on live datapack reloading and custom experience/menu world handling.

Hot Reloading

  • Added proper DAI datapack hot reloading.
  • Updated server-side DAI definitions live when datapacks are reloaded.
  • Updated client-side runtime definitions during the same reload cycle.
  • Custom entity behavior and spawn definitions now adopt their reloaded definitions without requiring a restart.
  • Reloaded actions, logics, menus, recognition definitions, reactions, recipes, and supported runtime definitions are refreshed live.
  • Added validation during reload before updated definitions become active.
  • Removed unnecessary restart requirements when changed content does not require native registry reconstruction.

Experiences & Custom Menus

  • Fixed existing worlds not appearing correctly through DAI custom experience and title-screen menus.
  • Improved discovery of worlds belonging to DAI experiences.
  • Fixed custom menu handling for continuing and selecting existing experience worlds.
  • Improved title-screen resolution between global experience menus and world-specific menus.
  • Improved world/session transitions when using custom DAI title screens.

Fixes

  • Improved runtime state handling when entering, leaving, or switching worlds.
  • Fixed issues where custom DAI menus could retain stale world/session state.
  • Improved synchronization between datapack reloads and the currently active DAI runtime.

Compatibility

  • Retains the complete DAI 1.9 feature set.
  • Existing DAI 1.9 datapacks remain compatible.
  • No migration is required for datapacks that do not depend on the corrected runtime behavior.
