Dying in survival is mostly a logistics problem: you know roughly where you were, but "roughly" doesn't cut it when your gear despawns in five minutes. DeathPin marks the spot the instant you die and guides you back.
- Locator bar pin — a red pin appears on the vanilla locator bar the moment you die, pointing the way back to your corpse. No mixins, no networking: it feeds the client's own waypoint system, the same one the /waypoint command uses.
- Skull marker HUD — a skull icon with live distance ("350m") and the despawn countdown ("4:32"), drawn right under the locator bar so it reads as one unit with the pin.
- Honest 5:00 countdown — matches vanilla's item despawn timer exactly, and pauses when you pause singleplayer, so the number never lies to you.
- Auto-clear — the pin removes itself when you walk back within 4 blocks of your death spot, or when the countdown runs out and the drops are gone.
- Death toll — a quiet low bell marks the spot. Subtle on purpose.
Client-side only. Works on any server, including vanilla. Nothing is saved to disk. The pin survives dimension changes: the locator arrow still points the right way, and the distance reads correctly once you're back in the dimension where you died.
Requires Fabric Loader 0.19+ and Fabric API for Minecraft 26.2.
