When fatal damage would kill you, Death Pause leaves you at one heart and
opens a twenty-second personal timeline. The world appears completely frozen,
but you remain free to move, escape danger, eat, heal, open containers, break
blocks, attack frozen targets, and fire projectiles.
In multiplayer, the server never actually pauses. Everyone else continues to
move, fight, and change the world normally while you experience an isolated
snapshot. Their actions catch up when your fracture ends, turning every rescue
into a desperate escape, a counterattack, or a perfectly timed prank.
## Features
- Automatically prevents fatal damage and leaves the player at one heart.
- Opens 20 seconds of personal frozen time.
- Eating, healing, inventory use, containers, blocks, melee attacks, and
projectiles remain available inside the fracture.
- Every player has an independent timeline; simultaneous activations never
freeze the entire server.
- Two fractured players can see each other live and have a harmless temporal
duel with immediate directional knockback.
- Players in normal time can punch a frozen shell and charge knockback that is
released when its owner returns to the shared timeline.
- During the final three seconds, cyan entity outlines and pink block outlines
reveal changes that have already happened in normal time.
- After the fracture closes, a spectral echo replays the saved player's entire
route in roughly two seconds.
- Lethal falls and the void grant controlled temporal drifting for an aerial
escape.
- Includes a cinematic cold-blue filter, an on-screen clock, accelerating
ticking, and a visible fracture at the activation point.
- No item requirements and no XP cost.
- The ability has a 60-second cooldown after the fracture ends.
