Death Discord

Send important Minecraft server events to a Discord channel using a webhook. Designed for Minecraft 1.19.2 with Forge 43.2.0 or newer in the 43.x series and Java 17. Install on the server only; players do not need this mod.

The mod does not relay player chat. Its own notification text is in Spanish; death messages and advancement titles use the server language.

Installation

1. Stop your Forge 1.19.2 server and place the JAR in the mods folder. Keep only one version of Death Discord installed.
2. Start the server once to generate config/deathdiscord-common.toml, then stop it.
3. Create a webhook in your Discord text channel and paste its URL into the webhook-url setting. Keep that URL private.
4. Start the server again.

No Discord bot is required. Not compatible with Fabric, Paper or Bukkit.

Test command

Run deathdiscord test in the server console, or /deathdiscord test in-game as an administrator. The console confirms successful delivery when Discord accepts the message. Custom message commands are not included in version 1.2.0.

Configuration

Use config/deathdiscord-common.toml to enable or disable joins, leaves, deaths, server-ready messages, important advancements, challenges and boss defeats. The important-advancements list takes advancement IDs; boss-entities takes entity IDs. Restart after changing settings. Existing configuration is preserved when updating.

Notifications cover future events only. Pending messages are not saved across restarts, and the mod cannot report a server crash after the process has stopped.
