Data Center

Data Center turns compute into a real SkyBlock resource: build server Racks, power and cool them, then route compute over a bandwidth-limited cable network to Synthesizers for materials or Mining Rigs/Hosting Racks for real crypto income

What's new

[1.7.7] - 2026-09-13

Racks get the same busway as the ASIC miners.

Only the server needs this update. Nothing players see or send has changed, so a 1.7.6 client joins a 1.7.7 server as before.

Changed

  • One cable for a whole row of racks, however long. Racks, Mining Rigs and Hosting Racks passed spare power on by half the difference, which runs out along a row: with full 4 kW racks and one cable at the end, the eighth rack got 29% and the ninth nothing. Racks that touch on any side and belong to the same player or team now share one busway, as ASIC miners do since 1.7.6: power fed into any of them reaches all of them, and a feed too weak for the lot is shared out by what each rack uses. Racks of different owners no longer pass power to each other, and demo cabinets are left out

Fixed

  • Older machines stay on their row's power. A rack, rig or ASIC miner standing since before machines remembered who placed them - or placed by a dispenser - has no owner of its own, and 1.7.6 put such ASIC miners on a busway of their own, where no power reached them. A machine with no owner now joins whichever row it touches
  • The busway holds only what is being used. It takes in two ticks of what its machines actually draw, so a hall of full, idle racks no longer holds power open that nothing uses

[1.7.6] - 2026-09-13

One cable for a whole bank of ASIC miners.

Only the server needs this update. Nothing players see or send has changed, so a 1.7.5 client joins a 1.7.6 server as before.

Fixed

  • Miners that touch really share their power. They were meant to pass spare power on, but a miner only ever took in its own draw per tick, so the one a cable fed had nothing left over: the second miner of a stack got no power at all, and a third could not get any however strong the feed. Miners that touch on any side - above, below or beside - and belong to the same player or team are now on one busway: power fed into any of them reaches all of them, as far as the feed is strong enough for the lot. Miners of different owners no longer pass power to each other

[1.7.5] - 2026-09-13

A full rack no longer cooks itself.

Only the server needs this update. Nothing players see or send has changed, so a 1.7.4 client joins a 1.7.5 server as before.

Fixed

  • Every server brings its own heatsinks. A Rack, Mining Rig or Hosting Rack counted all five of its servers as one single heatsink. A full rack drawing 3 to 4 kW sat above 85 degrees on 15 degree intake air and throttled, however many fans it had - more fans only cooled the air, which was cold already. Each server in a bay now counts, the same way the ASIC shelf and the Mining Container always did: the same full rack settles around 45 to 55 degrees. A rack with a single server behaves as before
