Update recommended: the new Shop section only shows on a 1.6.7 client. Older clients can still join and buy everything else as before.
Added
- Pre-built servers - a new Shop section of complete, new servers, ready to slot into a rack. The line-up changes every half year, like a system builder's catalogue, always three machines from the parts on sale at that moment:
- Budget - the cheapest processor with a board for it, two sticks of memory, a drive and a fan
- Performance - a mid-priced processor, four sticks, a mid-range graphics card
- High-End - the dearest server processor on a board that takes the most of them, every socket filled, eight sticks of the best memory, two of the best accelerators on sale
- Each comes with a supply sized for what it draws, and costs today's price of every part inside plus 50% for the assembly - building it yourself is always cheaper
