What's new
[1.6.2] - 2026-09-11
Added
- An island of your own, on a shared server. Until now a SkyBlock world had exactly one island, and every player who joined landed on the same nine by nine blocks.
/island createnow builds each player a plot of their own far out in the void - the very same slab, panel wall, oak and water basin as the spawn island, so everybody starts on identical ground - takes them there and makes it their respawn point. The spawn island stays what it was: the place everybody arrives, and the shared hub /island home,/island visit <player>and/island spawnget you around: back to your own island from anywhere, including the Nether and the End; to anybody else's, whether they are online or not; and back to the hub. Operators also get/island list- A party shares one island, the same way it already shares one wallet: with FTB Teams installed an island belongs to the team, and a member who runs
/island createwhen the party already has one is told to go home instead. A player who built an island on their own and joins a party later still finds the island they started on - Every island comes with a zone, and the zones are laid out with room to spare. An island owns every chunk within
skyblock.zoneRadiusblocks of its own (1,000, rounded up to 63 chunks), and between two zones lies at leastskyblock.zoneGapof no-man's land (500, rounded up to whole chunks). Withinskyblock.spawnClearRadiusof the spawn (3,000) there is nothing but the spawn - with the defaults the nearest zone starts about 4,100 blocks out, because the zone grid is 2,544 blocks from centre to centre. Slots are handed out along a spiral, one is skipped if somebody has already built into it by hand, and none is ever handed out twice - The spawn island always sits at 0 64 0, with the world spawn right on it, so it is the fixed middle everything is measured from
- A newcomer is told how to get an island - a clickable
/island createin the chat on their first login, on a void world only - You can build in your own zone and nowhere else. Everywhere else in the overworld - the spawn island, the empty radius around it, the no-man's land between zones, somebody else's zone - a player cannot break or place a block, open a chest, a rack or any other machine, press a button, use an item on anything, hit or use an animal, trample farmland, pick up what lies around or shoot anything. Visitors can look, not touch. Eating and drinking stay allowed everywhere - being stuck somewhere while starving would be a trap, not a rule. A zone runs from the void floor to the build limit; the Nether and the End are not zoned. An operator in creative mode gets through, so an admin can fix things - in survival an operator is bound by the same rules as anybody else
- One island per team, enforced. A player who already has an island and accepts an invite into a party that has one too is stopped before the join happens and asked: joining deletes their own island, everything on it, for good. Join and delete my island goes ahead - the join runs and the old island is cleared, chests and racks included and without spilling their contents into the void - and Cancel, or leaving the question for a minute, changes nothing. Joining a party that has no island simply brings yours along: it becomes the party's. A player who leaves a party does not take the party's island with them and can build a new one
skyblock.islandCommandsturns the whole thing off. On a normal world the commands do nothing whatever it is set to, so the non-SkyBlock pack is unaffected.skyblock.islandWipeRadius(160) is how far out a deleted island is cleared - never beyond its own cell, so a neighbour is never touched
