DarkmoonLibrary
The shared library for Darkmoon Hollow Development's mods. You don't play with DarkmoonLibrary on its own: install it alongside any Darkmoon mod that needs it, such as Eclipse Gate.
What it does
One usage-stats choice for every Darkmoon mod. The first time you start the game, one screen lists the Darkmoon mods you have installed and asks whether they may send anonymous stats and crash reports. One answer covers all of them, and you can change it any time (for example from Eclipse Gate's menu, under Usage Stats).
If you allow it:
- Once per game start, for each Darkmoon mod: a random install ID (not linked to you, your account or your computer), the mod, Minecraft, Forge and Java versions, client or server, and your OS family (Windows, Mac or Linux).
- Crash reports, only for crashes caused by a Darkmoon mod's own code: the error and its stack trace, with your user name and folder paths removed before anything is sent.
Never sent: your name, Minecraft account, IP address, worlds, chat, server addresses, other mods' data, or anything else about you.
Reports go to stats.darkmoonhollow.xyz (privacy policy: stats.darkmoonhollow.xyz/privacy), where they help us see which versions people play on and fix crashes faster.
Turning it off
- In game: the Usage Stats button in any Darkmoon mod's menu.
- By hand or on a server: set
metrics=falseanderrors=falseinconfig/darkmoon-stats.properties. Dedicated servers start with stats on and say so once in the log.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47.4 or newer
For mod developers
Darkmoon mods join with one line in their constructor:
DarkmoonStats.register("yourproject", "yourmod", "com.yourmod.", "Your Mod");
