What is in this mod?

 

Dangerous waters will update the ocean with many new structures for you to explore, made with new blocks from the mod, making it less boring, and more fun when you're travelling out in the open ocean. There are over 50 structures for you to explore, over 50 new building blocks new potion effects, weapons, over 15 new mobs, new biomes and so much more, some found in deep oceans, others found in cold and frozen oceans full of loot for you to find. Be careful when travelling though, there's deep sea monsters far out in the ocean, waiting for you.

 

 

When entering the ocean, you'll find new blocks that look like this

This is called a "wood pile", and you'll find them around the ocean floor. Break these, and you can find stuff like wood logs, sticks, gold nuggets, new items and more. Now if you're lost in the ocean with no wood around, you can just go diving in the ocean!

Wood piles can also be found spawning randomly in the ocean after sleeping in the ocean.

 

NEW ORE

Teranium Ore

Teranium ore is a new ore that can be found in the ocean, and in new structures. It is used for most things in the mod, like items and blocks. There is no armor set for this ore, it is made for building and crafting items.

 

What can I craft with it?

There are many more things you can craft, like new blocks and also a special repair table for the Aqua Jet.

 

Easily keep track of your batteries with a new icon that is displayed when you have Teranium batteries in your inventory while wearing a Teranium Diving Helmet.

 

NEW BIOMES

Silent Field

Inside this mysterious dark biome, will be full of a greenish color. Strange trees can be seen all over the place and you'll be able to find unique structures here, items unique to the biome, as well as danger.

Void Forest

The Void Forest is full of void trees, covering the entire biome. It is home to the Dragon Shark, a dangerous creature, and the Ghost Worm can be found here. You can also find the Void Fish here, which can refill the bubbles from Void Tree Logs.

Forgotten Plateau

A quiet and dangerous place, with Electribbons all around. Blue Crystals can also be found here in the sand. Watch out for the Sand Stinger.

Dark Rock Field

A safe place to explore with very few threats. This biome is filled with rocks made of dark stone.

Heat Mushroom Field

A biome full of Heat Mushrooms and Flame Crystals. Ghost Worms are all around the place.

Kelp Field

A safe green ocean biome, full of Teranium Ore stone craters.

Rocky Ocean

A deep rocky biome full of rough stone and Teranium Ore, large spiky pillars and a large threat.

Dead Void Forest

A Void Forest that died. It is empty with dead void trees all around.

Thorny Forest

A quiet biome with a new resource that can be crafted into new decorative blocks.

 

BLOCKS

Here are a few of the new blocks, and their extras that you can build with, the stairs and slabs, and many others are not shown in this image.

 

Craft New armor that will help you explore the ocean. This new armor set is hard to obtain, but will make exploring the ocean far easier.

 

Teranium Diving Helmet

A diving Helmet that can be crafted early on, or found in Teranium bases. Having a teranium battery in your inventory while wearing it will give you extra oxygen, allowing you to stay underwater for longer. Without a Battery, you will not be able to get any oxygen by wearing the helmet.

Teranium Water Jet Boots, Heavy Teranium Water Jet Boots and Crystal Teranium Boots

Each of these new boots will increase your swimming speed slightly, making it easier to swim around.

Crystal Teranium Armor set

This new armor set can be crafted with Crystal Teranium Scrap, a late game crafting item, that will be used to craft strong armor. This armor increases swim speed, increases block reach, only with the full set on. It will also randomly give you extra oxygen underwater. The Diving Helmet of this set also has the same effects as a regular Teranium diving Helmet.

 

Craft a Shock Submarine

A new Submarine has been added. Use it to explore the ocean much more safely. and store your loot inside it's storage. Be careful not to leave it near some creatures, or it will be damaged. It'll release a shock that harms anything hitting it.

 

 

STRUCTURES

Teranium Labs

This is a Teranium Lab, they come in different sizes and each have their own unique Loot, you can 4 different Teranium Labs around the ocean. They are full of new mobs called "Devourers" which will hunt you down the moment they see you.

Inside these Labs you can find tons of loot, like Iron, Diamonds, Heavy Teranium, Teranium Batteries and many more items.

Dark Ocean Tower

The Dark Ocean Tower is a small sized tower with special boxes in the top room with Devourers surrounding it. These boxes need a Blue Crystal Key, which is found in many of the Teranium Lab Structures. You can right click the box with the key to unlock it, and then break it open with a pickaxe to get rewarded with diamonds and other great loot.

You will also find these new boxes around the ocean by themselves too, and get them as loot when dug up by a Flat Shark.

Teranium Wreck

Teranium Wrecks are massive Teranium ruins that are filled with amazing loot. They can be found buried in the ground, and will be very open with lots of rooms to explore, but full of Devourers.

 

Teranium Bases and Base ruins

In the ocean, you'll often come across an old sea base ruin. These bases hold some decent loot in them, and usually always have a Teranium Battery hiding somewhere in the base, making exploring these bases great for gathering resources.

 

Void Trees

Void Trees are new structures that will be found all over the ocean, right clicking one with bubbles will refill your oxygen, allowing you to stay under water for longer, and will become a non bubble filled Void Tree after use. You can refill a void tree with a Devourer Crystal to use it again. You can also shear a Void log to get a Void Tree Plant, to grow a new Void Tree.

If a Void Fish passes over an empty Void Log, it will refill it automatically.

 

Decorational Structures

These structures won't have anything rewarding most of the time and will just fill the ocean up with new structures.

 

MOBS

Peaceful mobs

Flatmouth

The Flatmouth is a new fish that can be found in oceans and rivers, They drop themselves as food, and can be used to tame and ride the Ice Fin. You can also breed them with seagrass.

 

Blue Moonfish

The Blue Moonfish can be found in cold oceans. They drop themselves as food.

 

Ice Slug

The Ice Slug can be found in cold and frozen oceans. They will drop a new item called a slug slime ball, which can be thrown and deal damage to mobs, and can be crafted into a new block called the Ice Slug Slime block.

 

Ice Fin

The Ice Fin is a new tameable creature that takes Flatmouths to tame. Once you've tamed it, you can swim both in the ocean with it, and on land, making it a great travelling pet. It doesn't have amazing health points though, so be careful with being around high places.

Once you have enough materials, you can add upgrades to the Ice Fin, like night Vision, or a Cooker to smelt food on your travels.

 

HOSTILE MOBS

Devourer

The Devourer will chase you at high speeds and constantly attack you, they'll be very annoying in groups. They can be found in deep oceans, but mostly found in Teranium Labs and wrecks. They drop a new crafting item called "Devourer Crystals" which can be used in many recipes.

 

Flame Crystal Devourer

Another type of Devourer, which is also very quick, but extremely scary. They're slightly stronger, and will inflict a new effect on you called "Melting" that will damage items you are holding. They drop a new item called "Flame Crystals" which can be used to craft new items and the new Melting Potion. They can both be found in the ocean and a new structure called the "Flame Crystal Lab"

 

Silent Devourer

The Silent Devourer is found in the Silent Field, it is much stronger, and will dash into you when attacking, so be sure to dodge it. If a Devourer dies inside the Silent Field, it will turn into a Silent Devourer, making them much harder to fight inside this biome. They drop themselves as food.

 

Drill Fish

The Drill Fish will be peaceful until attacked, it will then attack. They can be found in cold and frozen oceans, and will drop bones.

 

Glow Ring Fish

A very dangerous fish that can summon Devourers when attacked. Found in Frozen oceans rarely, and can be found in the rare structure "Flame Crystal Tower". They do not drop anything.

 

Electribbon

The Electribbon can be found in frozen oceans when you are attacked by one, they will inflict a new effect called "Shocking", damaging you if you run. They will drop a new item called "Electribbon Ribbon" which can be used to craft a new weapon. It deals increased damage to Electribbons. You can also craft a special item to summon a new boss. The Sword can also fire Electribbon Ribbons as a projectile if any are in your inventory, and will inflict Shocking.

 

Ghost Worm

This massive worm like fish can be found rarely in deep oceans. If you see one, swim in the opposite direction immediately. These massive worms are quick and will hunt you down if it spots you. They do not drop anything.

 

NEW BOSS

This is a new aquatic boss That can be found hidden in the Frozen Ocean. Before you can fight it, you'll have to craft a hard to get item. Once crafted, find the lab that it's found in, and awaken it.
