# D-Weaver 1.1.0 – Parry & Enchantment Update
This update significantly improves Parry controls and multiplayer responsiveness, expands D-Weaver's enchantment options, and enhances Shock III.
## Added
### Customizable Parry Key
- Parry now has its own configurable key binding.
- The default key is Right Mouse Button.
- It can be rebound to another keyboard or mouse button under:
`Options → Controls → Key Binds → D-Weaver`
- Press the key to begin blocking and release it to stop.
- Rebinding Parry no longer interferes with normal right-click interactions.
### Multiplayer Parry Latency Compensation
- Added up to 3 server ticks of latency compensation.
- Valid attacks that arrive shortly before the server receives the Parry input can still be successfully parried.
- The system remains server-authoritative and does not allow the client to decide damage cancellation or projectile reflection.
## Changed
### Parry
- Precise Parry duration increased from 10 ticks to 12 ticks.
- Precise Parry now lasts 0.6 seconds.
- After the first 12 ticks, Parry continues as normal blocking.
- The existing 20-tick cooldown remains unchanged.
- Improved input handling for quick presses, key releases, item switching, menus, death, dimension changes, and multiplayer latency.
### Shock III
- Shock III now requires a fully charged attack to activate.
- Partially charged attacks will not trigger Shock III effects.
- A successful fully charged Shock III attack applies Weakness II to the primary target for 5 seconds.
- Shock I and Shock II retain their existing behavior.
- Nearby splash targets do not receive Weakness.
### Vanilla Enchantments
All six D-Weaver variants can now obtain the following enchantments in normal Survival gameplay:
- Sharpness
- Knockback
- Looting
- Fire Aspect
These enchantments can be obtained through the enchanting table and applied with enchanted books in an anvil.
Other sword-exclusive enchantments, including Sweeping Edge, Smite, and Bane of Arthropods, have not been added.
### Reduced Anvil Enchantment Cost
When an anvil operation adds or upgrades at least one enchantment on a D-Weaver, the final level cost is reduced by 30% and rounded up.
Examples:
- 30 levels → 21 levels
- 20 levels → 14 levels
- 17 levels → 12 levels
- 10 levels → 7 levels
The discounted cost is used for:
- The displayed anvil cost
- Server-side level validation
- Actual experience deduction
- The “Too Expensive!” check
Pure repairing, renaming, or durability merging does not receive the discount.
## Technical Improvements
- Added server-authoritative START and STOP Parry input packets.
- Added input sequence validation to prevent duplicate and out-of-order input.
- Improved handling for melee attacks, arrows, tridents, explosive projectiles, explosions, Sonic Boom, and Guardian beams.
- Prevented duplicated damage, retaliation, animations, sounds, cooldowns, and projectile handling.
- Improved client and dedicated-server code separation.
## Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.x
- Java 21
- D-Weaver must be installed on both the client and server for multiplayer.
## Notes
Some datapacks or mods that completely replace the vanilla Sharpness, Knockback, Looting, or Fire Aspect enchantment definitions may override D-Weaver compatibility with those enchantments.
