CVP Item Piles
Merge matching dropped items into large ground piles while keeping ordinary inventory stack sizes. This is an unofficial, documented MIT fork of Staaaaaaaaaaaack by frankV, developed for Create Copperfield Adventures.
What it does
- Matching stackable drops can share one item entity, with a displayed total of up to 1,000,000 items.
- Inventory slots retain their normal stack limits. Pickups, hoppers and Create processing consume bounded portions of a pile.
- Additional quantities survive saving and server restarts.
- Differently named items, different item data and non-stackable equipment are kept separate.
- Adds transactional pickup/refill handling and Create fan-processing safeguards found necessary during integration tests.
Both the client and server require this exact CVP build. Its required cvp_pile_protocol handshake intentionally prevents connecting an unpatched client. Do not install the original Staaaaaaaaaaaack alongside this fork: they use the same mod ID. Removing the mod while saved virtual piles exist prevents their additional quantities from being interpreted correctly. Normal despawn and destructive damage rules still apply to the whole pile.
Version and tests
Minecraft Java 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.262 and Java 21. Tested with Create 6.0.10. This is a compatibility beta, not a claim of compatibility with every mod or all Create factory designs.
The exact binary passed automated native dedicated-server and network-client integration checks: 60,472 identical drops merged into one carrier with the exact quantity retained across a real process restart; bounded player/hopper transfers, distinct components, native Create fan processing, destruction and quantity limits were also checked. These are automated integration checks, not a human playtest or a universal performance benchmark.

This is an unofficial fork; it is not a release by frankV or an endorsement by the upstream author. Modified Java sources are included under cvp-source/ inside the JAR. The original base JAR remains unchanged; the CVP build replaces the documented classes and adds the Create safeguard and required protocol marker.
