Customizable Hearts

Customizable Hearts is a server-side Fabric mod that lets server owners customize player health, mob health, damage, shared life, and XP-based bonus hearts.

All core features, settings, and commands run server-side. No client installation is required for gameplay or command usage.

Features

  • Custom Player Hearts — Set the default maximum health for all players.
  • Individual Player Health — Assign custom heart values to individual players.
  • Custom Mob Health — Increase or decrease the maximum health of mobs and other living entities.
  • Damage Multipliers — Configure player damage, mob damage, player damage taken, mob damage taken, and environmental damage.
  • Shared Life — Make all players share the same current health value.
  • Linked Damage — Apply damage received by one player to the other players.
  • Damage Delay — Add a configurable delay to linked damage.
  • XP Hearts — Allow players to earn additional hearts through experience.
  • Configurable XP Progression — Set the XP required per heart and the maximum number of bonus hearts.
  • Persistent Configuration — Settings and player progress are saved per world.
  • Server Commands — View all available commands and usage instructions in-game with /ch help <page>.
  • Optional Configuration Screen — Players with moderator permissions can use /ch to open the in-game configuration menu. This requires the mod to be installed on the client.

All commands require the appropriate moderator permissions.

  • Fabric Loader 0.19.2 or newer
  • Fabric API
  • Java 25 or newer

Installation

  1. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 26.1.2 or 26.2.
  2. Install Fabric API.
  3. Place the Customizable Hearts .jar file in the server's mods folder.
  4. Start the server.

The mod is designed to run server-side. A client installation is only needed for the optional in-game configuration screen.
