Cuscuz API

Cuscuz API is the technical core of the Cuscuz Better MC modpack for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1. It combines the custom systems that connect progression, story, races, dimensions, structures, and mod compatibility.

The mod provides a protected lobby, starting locations based on the player’s selected Origins race, return commands, a commercial dimension with independent claim limits, progression rules, reward management, and individual FTB Quests progress.

Version 1.21.0 also introduces automatic story management. Cuscuz API installs the official quest chapters and creates backups before replacing them with newer versions.

Dragons of Berk, Saint’s Dragons, and Garden Trails are now integrated into the modpack’s story. MezzConfig, NightLib, and Euphoria Patches are represented through the Invisible Framework storyline.

Cuscuz API also prevents duplicate dragon species from spawning naturally. Species priority follows this order:

Book of Dragons → Dragons of Berk → Hiccup’s Legacy

Book of Dragons remains the canonical source for shared species. Dragons of Berk replaces matching Hiccup’s Legacy variants. Unique species from every mod remain available.

This system does not remove existing dragons. It also does not block dragons created through spawn eggs, commands, breeding, or other non-natural methods.

Cuscuz API was created specifically for Cuscuz Better MC. It is not intended as a general-purpose library for unrelated modpacks.
