Calamity Curios

Calamity Curios brings a selection of accessories inspired by Terraria's Calamity Mod into Minecraft, redesigned around Minecraft's combat, exploration, and Curios system.

Rather than simply adding passive stat boosts, many accessories feature their own mechanics: reflecting damage, breaking enemy armor, creating restorative auras, generating rechargeable barriers, improving mobility, or combining several effects into powerful late-game accessories.

The mod currently supports Minecraft 1.20.x Forge and requires Curios API.

Several accessories are integrated directly into vanilla exploration rather than being available only through crafting.

Craw Carapace can appear while brushing suspicious blocks in Desert Wells and Desert Pyramids.

Giant Shell can be discovered through Ocean Ruin archaeology.

Cleansing Jelly, Life Jelly, and Vital Jelly can rarely drop from Drowned.

Basic accessories can then be combined and upgraded into increasingly powerful equipment such as Baroclaw, Grand Gelatin, and ultimately The Absorber.

This creates a progression path that encourages archaeology, underwater combat, exploration, crafting, and late-game upgrading.

Configuration

Many accessory values are configurable, including damage bonuses, reflected damage, armor bonuses, mobility modifiers, effect duration, barrier strength, barrier recharge time, and other combat-related properties.

Modpack creators can therefore adjust the accessories to better fit the difficulty and progression of their packs.
