CTT Tooltip Lore is a lightweight, client-side Fabric mod developed exclusively for the Cake Team Towers project. It gives map makers, modpack authors and content creators a flexible text formatting system to enrich in-game storytelling and hints, far beyond only item tooltip lore.

At its core, this mod adds fully customizable lore text to item tooltips. You can attach background stories, item descriptions, quest clues, secret notes, world setting information and gameplay tips to any item stack. All tooltip content supports line breaks, Minecraft color codes and formatting styles, letting you craft immersive narrative paragraphs for custom loot, quest items, relics and unique gear without writing complicated, bloated datapack logic.

Beyond item tooltips, CTT Tooltip Lore also extends its rich formatted text system to chat messages and advancement (achievement) texts. You can use the same styling rules to deliver story dialogue, system notifications, hidden hints and reward descriptions in the chat window, as well as polish the title, description and hint content of custom advancements. This unifies your visual style across tooltips, chat popups and advancement screens, so your whole adventure feels consistent and polished.

This mod is built with performance in mind. It runs only on the client side, has no tick-based background logic, and brings nearly zero overhead to your game. Server installation is not required at all. Players who do not install this mod can still join and play normally; they simply will not be able to view your custom formatted lore, styled chat text and decorated advancement content. There will be no crashes, missing item errors or sync issues for clients without the mod.

It is designed to work seamlessly alongside other mods from the CTT mod suite, including CTT Quick Menu, Item Counter and Shield Display. Combine all of them to build a complete custom gameplay experience for your adventure map or modpack.

模组纯客户端运行，无后台刻循环运算，性能损耗极低。不需要在服务端安装；没装这个模组的玩家可以正常进入存档 / 服务器游玩，只是看不到你自定义的美化 Lore、样式聊天文本与装饰后的进度内容，不会出现崩溃、物品丢失、同步报错等问题。

它和 CTT 系列其他模组完美兼容，包括 CTT Quick Menu、物品计数模组、盾牌耐久显示模组，搭配使用就能搭建一套完整的自定义玩法体系，非常适合剧情 RPG 地图、解谜冒险、塔防整合包等项目。
