What's new

New features

  • Added server-controlled bots for Casual matches.
  • Bots use real TaCZ weapons, projectiles, ammunition, reload mechanics, damage, and headshot detection.
  • Bots can move through arenas, navigate around obstacles, detect enemies, aim, shoot, reload, die, respawn, and continue playing.
  • Added dedicated A* navigation for bots inside registered map regions.
  • Added Easy, Medium, and Hard bot difficulty levels.
  • Bot difficulty changes reaction time, aiming accuracy, target handling, and combat behavior without giving bots extra health or damage.
  • Bots can participate in match scoring, kill feeds, statistics, and final results.
  • Bots are excluded from persistent RP, ranks, achievements, profiles, and match history.
  • Added administrative controls for spawning, removing, and configuring bots.
  • Improved bot integration with simultaneous MatchInstances and map isolation.

Improvements

  • Improved bot target validation so they only interact with valid opponents from the same match.
  • Improved TaCZ handling for artificial players, including weapon draw state, cooldowns, reloads, ammunition, and server-side weapon ticking.
  • Improved bot movement and obstacle navigation.
  • Added bot stuck detection and automatic route recalculation.
  • Improved bot lifecycle handling during WAITING, STARTING, RUNNING, death, respawn, and match cleanup.
  • Improved performance by separating bot perception, pathfinding, movement, and combat update frequencies.

Fixes

  • Fixed bots stopping after their first magazine by adding real TaCZ reload handling.
  • Fixed artificial players not advancing TaCZ weapon states correctly without a real client connection.
  • Fixed bots remaining dead when killed before the match started.
  • Fixed several MatchInstance systems that previously assumed every participant was a connected human player.
  • Prevented bot data from being written to player ranks, achievements, profiles, statistics, advancements, and persistent player files.
  • Improved cleanup to ensure bots are completely removed after matches.

Compatibility

  • Bots are fully server-controlled and do not require CS Mine to be installed on player clients.
  • Players can continue joining with only Forge + TaCZ.
  • Bots currently participate only in Casual matches.
  • Ranked progression remains exclusive to real players.
