What's new
Crystalbound 0.46.0 (Minecraft 26.3)
CONSTELLATION CRYSTAL
Added the Extreme-tier Constellation Crystal, with five selectable star modes: Resistance, Health Boost, Speed, Strength and Regeneration.
Your selected star grants its Level III benefit. The passive core grants Level I benefits from your other intact stars and slowly replenishes hunger and saturation. Health Boost grants two extra hearts passively, or six extra hearts total while selected. Switching modes does not heal you.
A lethal hit shatters the selected star, saves you with a totem-like recovery and switches to the next intact mode. Each star provides one rescue before it must be recovered. Ordinary held Totems take priority, and the stars do not protect against the void or damage that bypasses invulnerability.
Shattered stars also impose penalties: increased incoming damage, reduced maximum health, Slowness, Weakness or slower natural healing. Missing stars remain missing through death, milk, logout and crystal transfers.
Recover missing stars through five private challenges. Crouch on solid ground at Y319 or higher in the Overworld and use the ability to choose a missing star. Each challenge lends only that star's power and tests its specialty through survival, combat or jump-and-crouch gates. Winning restores the chosen star; failing leaves it missing.
Added camera-facing orbiting stars, connected outer-star effects, selected-star highlighting and a mode display. Stars follow alternate gravity and player size, with rendering improvements around water.
THE ASCENDING CONSTELLATION
Added a unique ruined observatory trial, its Codex entry, locator support and an entry advancement. Offer a Nether Star, End Crystal, Spyglass and Amethyst Block to begin.
Fight through six encounters that grant temporary throwable stars, then face the Astral Sovereign. These trial stars recharge in sequence and can open the boss's defenses. The boss uses frequent attacks, short vulnerability windows and health that scales with the group. The trial awards one shared, unique Constellation Crystal.
TRIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RISK
Mitosis now requires a Totem of Undying, Echo Shard, Diamond Block and Fermented Spider Eye at its four offering pedestals.
The Usurper-to-Gravity evolution requires a Nether Star, Diamond Block, two Shulker Shells and a Lodestone, along with your own usable, equipped Usurper Crystal.
The Gravity-to-Tempo evolution requires an Elytra, Clock, Netherite Ingot and four Wind Charges. You must also have stood on solid surfaces using all six gravity directions with your own Gravity Crystal. This experience stays saved. Tempo retains its new-moon requirement and one attempt per new-moon night.
Accepted paid trial attempts now spend their offerings even if the attempt fails, the player dies or disconnects, or the server restarts during the attempt. Retrying requires fresh offerings. Rejected entry checks preserve deposited offerings, and partial deposits remain saved until an attempt starts.
Fixed the Vault entrance closing before surviving participants had finished climbing out after a failed attempt. Leaving does not grant another free attempt.
WORLD GENERATION AND EXISTING SAVES
New unique trial sites must be at least 5,000 blocks apart horizontally within the same dimension, while remaining within the existing 30,000-block world-origin limit. Placement checks the full structure footprint for suitable terrain.
Existing trials keep their saved coordinates, progress, ownership and rewards, even if they are closer together than the new spacing limit. Missing entrance controls and offering pedestals update in place when it is safe to do so. Active trials and occupied or modified upgrade areas are not overwritten.
INTERFACE AND FIXES
Replaced standard trial bossbars with a shared custom display for objectives, boss health, progress and timers. Trial displays appear only for participants and support wrapped text and compact screen layouts.
Crystal resource meters now move around armor, oxygen, extra hearts and absorption hearts. The lowest pair sits above hunger and health, with additional meters stacked above and room for timer labels.
Improved preservation of ordinary potion effects and separately applied crystal effects, including Mend, when crystal passives change or are removed.
Updated Codex descriptions, trial instructions and offering messages to match the new mechanics.
Verified the affected systems on a native server and in clients with shaders disabled and with Solas V3.7b.
