Cryptic Life Core

Pack-specific mod for the Cryptic Life modpack (Forge 1.20.1, horror/occult theme, built around exploration and 3-4 player co-op). Reuses and connects several third-party mods without ever depending on their internals directly — everything is resolved through Forge's own registries (ResourceLocation lookups for entities/items/structures), never a direct class import into a "source" mod, except where noted below.

What it does

Ambient creature tuning — a unified spawn throttle across the pack's horror-adjacent mobs, plus in-memory config coercion for Man From The Shadow and Goat Man (no separate config file shipped).
Resonance — a per-team gauge (built on Confluence Lib) fed by Goat Man and The One Who Watches encounters, cleared by sleeping. Crossing the threshold escalates ambient tension; it's a continuous modifier, not a one-off event.
Convergence — four independent per-team gauges; reaching 3 of the 4 thresholds spawns a site with the Altar of Convergence. Interacting with it offers three choices — Apaiser (sacrifice a tamed Demonic Husband/Wife for an Apotheosis gem reward), Affronter (fight Lord Pumpkinhead, from Born in Chaos), or Fuir (walk away) — with proximity and re-trigger safeguards so the choice can't be exploited remotely.
The Archivist — a mentor NPC (Villager) auto-placed at the town center of every generated village, running a 13-step Quest Giver quest chain that ties together Alex's Caves, Born in Chaos, Deeper & Darker, and Cataclysm content into one continuous progression, ending with a guaranteed Ender Dragon head drop and an Ender Guardian fight.
The Deep Void unlock — completing the Archivist's chain flips The Deep Void's Abductor from disabled to spawnable (locked by default at world start), with a title/sound/lightning/thunder moment broadcast to the whole team. Abductor spacing is also tuned down from its very sparse default so it's actually findable.
/clm command tree (mostly OP-only debug/admin tooling; the Convergence altar's own choices are the only end-user-facing commands, and those are open to all players).
