Crossbow Plus
Crossbow Plus is a client-side Fabric mod that turns vanilla crossbows into extremely fast, continuous-fire weapons.
Simply hold the use button while carrying a loaded crossbow to unleash arrows at an extremely high rate. There is no need to repeatedly click or wait for normal firing intervals.
Features
- Extremely fast continuous crossbow fire
- Fires repeatedly while the use button is held
- Supports crossbows in both the main hand and offhand
- Global enable/disable option
- Optional automatic arrow refilling from AxShulkers
- Configurable stack refill and per-shot refill modes
- In-game configuration through Mod Menu
Requirements
- Fabric Loader
- Java 21 for Minecraft 1.21.11
- Java 25 for Minecraft 26.1.x
Fabric API is not required.
Mod Menu is optional and is only needed to access the configuration screen.
Usage
- Equip a loaded crossbow in either hand.
- Hold the use button.
- The crossbow will continuously fire arrows at an extremely high rate.
- Keep arrows available in your inventory, or enable the optional AxShulkers integration.
Configuration
Install Mod Menu and open:
Mods → Crossbow Plus → Configure
Available options:
- Enable Rapid Fire — Enables or disables extremely fast continuous crossbow fire.
- Enable AxShulkers Arrow Refill — Automatically retrieves arrows from compatible shulker boxes.
- Per-Shot Refill — Retrieves one arrow for each shot instead of moving a full stack into the inventory.
Configuration is saved in:
config/crossbow_plus.json
Optional AxShulkers Integration
Crossbow Plus can retrieve arrows from shulker boxes managed by AxShulkers.
This feature requires:
- AxShulkers installed on the server
- Inventory shulker opening enabled in the AxShulkers configuration
- The
axshulkers.useandaxshulkers.modifypermissions
AxShulkers support is optional and does not affect the core rapid-fire feature.
Server Compatibility
Crossbow Plus is client-side, but multiplayer servers may restrict rapid item use or reject unusually fast actions. Actual firing speed can therefore depend on latency and server-side rules.
