Cropville – Update Highlights
Grow more, find more, and get rewarded for it! This update makes the world feel alive with seeds and produce tucked into foliage, chests, fishing… and even trader inventories.
π± World & Foliage
Tall Grass, Ferns, and Large Ferns now drop Cropville seeds (balanced chances).
Biome-specific seed drops: jungles lean tropical (pineapple/ginger/turmeric/tea), swamps are wet-loving (rice/tea/cranberry), savannas skew dry (peanut/pepper/oat), taiga favors berries & hardy greens, etc.
ποΈ Loot & Progression
More chest locations across structures now include:
-
-
Seed bundles (low–moderate chance)
-
Produce bundles (rarer, smaller stacks)
-
Trial Chambers loot:
-
-
Added regular and ominous variants with tuned chances
-
Seeds and produce can appear as thematic rewards
-
π£ Fishing
Junk table bonus: Small chance to reel in select seeds while fishing, making early farming a bit more serendipitous.
π§πΎ Villagers
New Farmer trades that buy/sell Cropville goods to kickstart your plots.
New Wandering Trader trades featuring specialty items and seeds.
π Advancements
A lightweight advancement line to guide early progression:
-
-
Root unlock, “Sow It Begins,” “Green Thumb,” “From Farm to Table,” “Chef Supreme,” and the “Master Farmer” challenge (collect every Cropville produce at least once).
-
Balance Notes
Foliage and fishing chances are tuned to feel rewarding but not spammy.
Trial Chambers ominous sets are slightly more generous than regular.
Biome drops overlap where it makes sense, but each region has a clear identity.
Compatibility
Fabric (Loom 1.11.x) • Minecraft 1.21.9 (Yarn mappings)
Should work fine with other loot-injecting mods; uses Fabric LootTable events (no vanilla JSON overrides).
Feedback
If drops feel too common/rare in your pack, tell me which biomes or sources need tweaks and I’ll tune the numbers. Enjoy the harvest! πΎπ
