Overview
Just plant seeds normally, and the connected farmland blocks will be seeded, as long as there are seeds in your hand.

Works with Wheat, Beetroots, Carrots and Potatoes. Melon seeds and Pumpkin seeds were deliberately not included, as they usually are not planted side by side.
Enabling the mod
This mod comes disabled by default. To enable it, open the command prompt inside the game and type /cropspread true. To disable it again, type /cropspread false.
