Critfall

Critfall turns Minecraft's damage into dice resolution. Every damaging action rolls d20 + modifiers against the target's Armor Class. A miss deals nothing; a hit rolls damage dice like 2d6+3 instead of a fixed number. Nat 20 crit, Nat 1 Fumble.

Critfall 0.2.0

Fixed

  • Armor no longer double-counted on API-driven attacks — damage now bypasses vanilla armor reduction correctly (Armor Class already accounts for armor).
  • Fabric damage handling applies armor-bypass decisions even when the damage amount is unchanged.

Changed

  • Tridents distinguish thrown vs. melee hits — separate flavor pools, independently profilable; generalizes to any throwable weapon.
  • Expanded flavor text — rewrote weaker default lines and added flavor for pickaxes, shovels, hoes, shears, and fishing rods.

Verified

  • Spell compatibility confirmed in-game against Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks (1.21.1-3.16.2) and Ars Nouveau (5.12.1).

Hardening

  • Fixed a memory leak in per-entity cooldown tracking on long-running servers.
  • Closed crash vectors from malformed datapacks and network packets.
  • Faster per-hit profile lookups via caching.
