What's new

Creative Admin 2.1.1

Arcadia Creative Admin is now Creative Admin. Files and permission nodes move over without breaking an existing setup.

Changed

  • Renamed to Creative Admin — The mod id is now creativeadmin. The policy and the assignments move to config/creative-admin/policy.json and assignments.json; files from an earlier version are moved there automatically on the first start. Permission nodes are now creativeadmin.admin, creativeadmin.bypass and creativeadmin.profile. The former arcadiacreativeadmin.* nodes keep working whenever the new node is not set for a player, explicit denials included, so no server loses its setup.
  • Players need the 2.1.1 client — The network channel follows the mod id. An older client keeps playing but no longer receives the locked tabs for display; the server still enforces every rule.
  • The former jar is refused with a clear message — Keeping the Arcadia Creative Admin jar next to Creative Admin would load both. The game now stops at loading and names the jar to remove.
  • Mod icon — The mod list now shows the Creative Admin logo.
  • License 3.0, closed-source — The source code is no longer published. Running the mod on your server and including it in a CurseForge or Modrinth modpack that references the official file stay allowed, exactly as before. The protection of the name also covers the former name and mod id. 2.0.0 keeps the license it shipped with. See the license and its plain-language summary.

Fixed

  • Locked tabs reach Better Creative again after its rename — Locked tabs are handed both to Better Creative 2.1.1 and to releases before its rename, so they stay out of its settings screen either way.
  • Locked tabs hidden in singleplayer and LAN — A restricted host saw every tab and item until they first took one. The second opening of the creative screen now hides what is locked. Dedicated servers were not affected, and the server always refused locked items.
