Create: Unified Fuels
One shared liquid fuel ecosystem for Create modpacks.
Tag-powered compatibility, balanced fuel values and soft integrations for popular Create addons.
Create modpacks can get messy fast when every addon brings its own diesel, gasoline, biodiesel, alcohol fuel or petroleum chain. Machines may understand one mod's fuel, ignore another mod's equivalent fuel, or require extra datapacks just to make a pack feel consistent.
Create: Unified Fuels fixes that by connecting equivalent liquid fuels through tags and generated compatibility data. Diesel stays diesel, gasoline stays gasoline, and every original fluid remains intact. CUF simply teaches supported burners, generators, trains and fuel tanks to recognize the same balanced fuel groups.
No fluid conversion. No forced replacements. No hard dependency on optional addons.
What It Does
- Builds a shared tag ecosystem for equivalent Create addon fuels.
- Generates compatibility data for supported consumers from the current config.
- Keeps fuel balance consistent by group instead of by random addon defaults.
- Lets missing optional addons stay missing. Install only the integrations your pack uses.
- Keeps process fluids safe: crude oil, heavy oil and lubricant are not burnable by default.
Pack Maker Friendly
CUF is designed for modpacks where several Create addons are installed together. You can keep each mod's progression and fluid identity, while making the machines around them feel like they belong to one fuel network.
Open Create's config screen, go to Other Mods, then open Create: Unified Fuels. The first config pages focus on common settings: enabled integrations, known fluids, fuel duration and heat tier. Advanced allow/deny/custom fluid overrides are tucked away in Unsafe Overrides.
Supported Integrations
All integrations are optional except Create itself.

Process Fluids
CUF knows about process fluids such as crude oil, heavy oil and lubrication oil, but it does not make them burnable by default.
They can be enabled in the config, but CUF logs a warning because that changes fluids outside their original fuel role.
Configuration
Open Create's config screen, choose Other Mods, then open Create: Unified Fuels.
The config lets pack makers:
- enable or disable supported fuel consumers;
- enable or disable known fluids;
- adjust fuel duration and heat tier;
- allow or deny specific fluids for specific consumers;
- add custom fluid IDs for runtime adapters.
After changing compatibility or fuel stats, run /reload or reopen the world so datapack consumers can read the updated live datapack.
Notes
- Create is required.
- Optional addons are not required.
- CUF does not replace or convert fluids.
- CUF does not make every fluid a fuel automatically.
