Create: Third Rail Systems

⚡ Third Rail

Placed onto existing Create tracks – no special track type needed.

• Straight & diagonal tracks: right-click the start, then the end. A live preview shows the section in green (valid) or red (with the reason shown above the hotbar).
• Curves: aim at a curve and right-click once to cover the whole curve – the rail follows it smoothly.
• Shift + Scroll switches the side. You can also lay rails on both sides.
• Mounted on brackets with insulators every 4 blocks, also along curves.
• Automatic end ramps with yellow-black warning paint wherever a section ends – just leave a gap at switches or level crossings.
• Shift + Right-click removes a rail and gives the item back. Breaking the track drops it.
• Works in multiplayer.

🎨 Copycat-style Cover

Right-click the protective cover with any full block to give it that block's texture – concrete, iron, planks, whatever fits your line.

• Right-click: this piece
• Shift + Right-click: the whole connected section (including curves and ramps)
• Create Wrench: back to the default white cover
• Both sides can be styled separately. No blocks are consumed.

🚆 Third Rail Shoe

A current collector shoe that mounts on the side of a bogey and rests against the rail's contact face – just like the real thing. Decorative for now.

🚉 Station Decorations

• Third rail warning sign ("1200 V")
• Ticket machine
• Snack vending machine & drink vending machine
• Trash bin & recycling station (paper / packaging / residual waste)
• Standing ashtray & wall ashtray

All designs are neutral – no real-world company logos.

Everything can be found in the mod's own creative tab.

🔧 Compatibility

• Steam 'n' Rails: all standard-gauge tracks are supported. Wide gauge, narrow gauge and monorail are not supported yet – third rails can't be placed there.
• Third rails work on track types from other addons, as long as they use the standard Create gauge.

🇩🇪 Kurz auf Deutsch

Seitlich bestrichene Stromschienen für Create-Züge nach dem Vorbild der Hamburger S-Bahn – auf vorhandene Gleise legen, auch in Kurven, mit automatischen Auflaufschrägen, gestaltbarer Abdeckung (wie Copycat-Blöcke), Stromabnehmern und Bahnhofs-Deko. Aktuell rein dekorativ, die Funktion folgt in einem späteren Update.
