Description
Create: Soul Harvest
Overview
Create: Soul Harvest is a Create addon that adds, primarily, a means of obtaining mob drops and experience without actually spawning entities. The 'souls' of mobs can be stored in appropriate Soul Books, which can then be used to attune various forms of a precursor material Polyclay. Attuned Polyclay can then be splashed to extract the drops of the mob whose soul it is attuned to.
Rarer/stronger mobs require more expensive Soul Books, and require an appropriate tier of Polyclay. XP drops can also be aquired, bia Experience Effigies, which can be attuned to a mob soul and then processed much like Polyclay, although via haunting instead of splashing.
This mod requires the library mod RedSparkLib to function!
Features
- Capture mob souls by killing mobs with a suitable Soul Book in your offhand.
- Rarer mobs require higher-tier, more expensive Soul Books. (Configurable via tags & datapacks)
- Use a completed Soul Book to attune intermediate items such as Polyclay and Experience Effigies to acquire the mob's item drops and/or experience yield.
- Crafting Soul Books requires Glyph Pages, which require Sequenced Assembly and Soul Shards.
- Soul Shards can only be acquired by growing them from a vanilla mob spawner in the world. (Configurable via block tag)
- Glyph Pages can also be used to craft various Spell Scrolls with powerful effects.
- Higher-tier Spell Books (and numerous other higher-tier items) require Anima Gold - which is produced by allowing a Midas Core to convert common blocks (such as stone and cobblestone) into Anima Gold. (Configurable via block tag)
- The rarest items can only be obtained via attuning a Loot Token - which must be crafted with either Netherite or the new Necronium material.
- Necronium requires a multi-step recipe chain, and the process poses risks and produces dangerous Necronium Waste that must be handled carefully.
For the curious: This mod operates by sampling the drop tables of entities with simulated kills. Therefore, extremely rare drops and those dropped by nonstandard means may not be detected.
