Resource Geodes is a powerful modpack-focused addon that introduces renewable resource generation through configurable catalyst blocks — all deeply integrated with JEI and Jade for a polished player experience.

At its core are Catalysts — unique blocks inspired by the Ore Stone variants from the Create mod. These blocks are found embedded in geode-like structures underground, and when activated, they generate valuable resources like ores or modded materials.

Now supporting vanilla items as custom agitators, full datapack-driven configuration, and tiered progression!

Catalyst Activation

Catalysts can be activated in two ways:

Tier-Based Agitators

Use a Catalyst Agitator item (Tier 1–4) that meets or exceeds the catalyst's required tier.

Custom Item Agitators

Define any vanilla or modded item (e.g., minecraft:gunpowder) as the required agitator via JSON — no custom item class needed.

Tier and custom agitator systems are mutually exclusive per catalyst.

Catalysts regenerate resources in customizable spheres or cubes, using a cooldown system and visual feedback.

Crafting & Tools

• Catalyst Core: A craftable item used to create catalysts if enabled. Default recipes are included but can be overridden with KubeJS or datapacks.
• Catalyst Agitator: A special item used to activate catalysts and trigger resource generation. Comes in four tiers, with only Tier 1 having a default recipe. Higher tiers can be defined and gated via modpack progression.
• Catalyst Activator Wand: A handheld tool that teleports catalysts to nearby valid locations or if it was player placed, can make it drop as an item (break mode).  The default recipe requires two shafts and a gem which are found in Mineshaft chest and as a drop from the Warden.  You may also find a full wand in End City Treasure.  The Wandering Trader may also sell some items.
