• Addon apps. Other mods can now build apps that install onto the tablet from the App Store, the same way the built-in ones do. An addon app knows which tablet it's running on — the one in your hand, the one on the wall, or a specific member of a merged wall — and it can keep its own small pocket of memory on that tablet: whatever it saves rides along through placing, breaking, picking up, item frames and chests, shows on the wall face for everyone, and survives a reload. Two apps' memories never touch each other, and a locked tablet still guards it the same as everything else. The first addon built on this is Link Tablet: Refined Storage, which opens a real Refined Storage crafting grid on your tablet.

• Network protocol version unchanged (still 24), but tablets now carry a new piece of data, so 1.14.0 pairs only with 1.14.0 — update your server and all clients together. Worlds and tablets from 1.13.0 load untouched.
