What's new
Create: Project Stasis 0.0.8
⚠️ Alpha Notice: Project Stasis is still under active development. Please continue reporting bugs and exploits you discover!
Important: Includes Unreleased 0.0.7 Changes
Version 0.0.8 includes changes originally made for version 0.0.7, which was never publicly released.
Added
Four-Layer Protection Against Unauthorized Simulation Exits
Project Stasis now has multiple layers of protection designed to prevent players from escaping the simulation through unintended teleportation methods.
- Blocks teleport commands while inside the simulation, including common commands such as
/tp,/home,/warp,/tpa, and similar mod-provided teleport commands. - Blocks teleportation items such as Waystone Scrolls and other items that could bypass the normal exit process.
- Added automatic escape detection to detect players who somehow leave the simulation without using the proper exit sequence.
- Added a failsafe restoration system that attempts to safely return escaped players to their original location and restore their saved player state.
- Added grace periods and transition tracking to avoid interfering with legitimate Project Stasis dimension transitions.
- Added protection during the simulation entry sequence to prevent players from escaping while their transition is still in progress.
- Improved error messages to direct players toward using their Exit Beacon.
Even if an unintended exit somehow bypasses the other protections, the player's saved state is preserved to help prevent inventory or player-data loss.
Changed
Improved Chamber Location Tracking
- The Stasis Activation Core now tracks which dimension a player's chamber is located in.
- Players now return to the correct dimension and location when exiting the simulation instead of assuming their chamber is in a specific dimension.
This change was originally part of the unreleased 0.0.7 update.
Improved
- Improved tracking of legitimate dimension transitions during simulation entry and exit.
- Improved handling of unexpected dimension changes.
- Added additional safeguards around player restoration.
- Improved recovery behavior if something goes wrong during the exit process.
Security
This update significantly strengthens one of the main goals of Project Stasis: the simulation should not provide an unintended path to affect or escape into the normal world.
Players should use the Exit Beacon to leave the simulation normally. The new systems are designed to block alternative exits and safely recover the player if an exploit or unexpected interaction manages to bypass those restrictions.
