What's new
Changelog 1.0.0
Create: Progressive Engineering 1.0.0
First release. Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge, on top of Create 6. It needs RPG: SkillTree as well —
that is where the progression lives.
WHAT THIS MOD IS
Create's machines do not get better. A Mechanical Press presses one item at a time on the first
day and on the last one. This mod takes seven of them apart and puts a part inside, and the part is
what you upgrade.
a machine of Create --pry it open with the CROWBAR--> the modular version
+ the part that was in it

v
the same machine, faster
(and hungrier for stress)
Nothing is thrown away. The crowbar hands you back the part that was inside, and putting the iron
part back turns the machine into the ordinary Create one again.
THE SEVEN MACHINES
Press, Mixer, Crushing Wheel, Millstone, Encased Fan, Saw, Drill. Each one takes its own kind of
part — a saw blade does not go into a mixer — and each part comes in seven grades.
Mounting and removing
• Shift + right click with the part to mount it.
• The Crowbar does the opposite, and does it in two steps: on a machine of Create it pries it
open, leaving the modular version and the part that was inside; on a modular one it pulls the
mounted part out.
• A machine with nothing in it does not work at all. It is not slow, it is open. It costs no
stress and produces nothing.
The seven grades
Each step is worth double the one before it. Iron is step zero — it is Create's own machine, with no
bonus at all.
Grade Multiplier Stress
Iron x1 x1
1 / 4
Industrial Iron x2 x1.2
Zinc x4 x1.5
Brass x8 x2
Diamond x16 x2.5
Netherite x32 x3
Super Charged x64 x4
The two columns are not the same number, and that is the whole point. A netherite part does
thirty-two times the work for three times the stress. Speed scales far faster than what it costs you,
so the fun is not in affording the part, it is in getting to it.
What the multiplier does, machine by machine
• Press — items pressed in one stroke. Netherite presses thirty-two at once.
• Mixer — how many times the recipe is applied per cycle. It checks the basin before every
one, so a half-empty basin is never emptied for nothing.
• Millstone — grinding speed.
• Saw and Drill — how fast they break through.
• Crushing Wheel — crushing speed, at the average of the two wheels. They are a pair and
they can be different grades: a zinc next to a brass gives x6.
• Encased Fan — how fast it processes. An item under a fan does not change instantly; it
counts down, and the grade makes it count down faster. Netherite dries in four ticks what
Create dries in a hundred and twenty. Works both on loose items in the current and on items
riding a belt or sitting on a depot.
Stress works the same everywhere: Create's cost times the number above. So a netherite part
costs three times the stress, never thirty-two.
Two things worth knowing about the Crushing Wheel, because it is the odd one: the pair takes the
average, and if one of the two is empty the pair stops. Not half speed. Half a machine does not
crush.
FLUID TANKS
Six tanks, one per grade above iron. Same shape and same behaviour as Create's, with the
capacity multiplied.
Tank Per block
Create's 8 buckets
Industrial Iron 16 buckets
Zinc 32 buckets
2 / 4
Brass 64 buckets
Diamond 128 buckets
Netherite 256 buckets
Super Charged 512 buckets
They still stack into multiblocks the way Create's do, and the capacity adds up across the blocks.
Tanks of different metals do not merge — a zinc and a netherite standing next to each other
stay two separate tanks, so the netherite never loses its size to a neighbour.
The numbers above follow Create's own tank config, so a pack that changes that changes these
too, in proportion.
THE SUPER CHARGED INGOT
The last metal on the ladder is the only one you cannot buy, mine or smelt.
Drop an iron ingot on the ground and have lightning strike it. Go out in a storm, or build a
lightning rod and wait. From there it goes under a press and becomes a sheet like every other
metal.
The ingot survives the fire the lightning leaves behind — that took care, an iron ingot lying on the
ground burns.
THE PROGRESSION
The mod ships its own skill tree, so none of this is available on day one.
• 105 skills, on their own tab, with a reward on nearly every one.
• Every recipe in this mod starts locked and is opened by a skill. Nothing is hidden, so you
can see the whole ladder from the first minute and know what you are working towards.
• Nine recipes of Create's own are locked too, and they are the seven machines this mod
takes apart, plus the whisk and the propeller: press, mixer, millstone, encased fan, saw, drill,
crushing wheel.
The four kinds of point
Research points come in four kinds, and they open in order — each one is unlocked by the one
before it. You earn them at the Dispatch Post, by filling orders for materials.
Kind Asks for Round trip
Green wood, crops, wool, leather 30 seconds
Copper ores, raw metals, gravel and stone Create's default
Blue ancient debris and the deep 2 minutes
3 / 4
Purple shulker shells and the End 3 minutes
The pools hold between fourteen and seventeen kinds of material each, so an order is never the
same shopping list twice.
None of this is fixed. The tree is a datapack file inside the jar, and a modpack can edit it in game
with RPG: SkillTree's editor, or replace it outright.
MAKING IT YOURS
Every part is an ordinary block model with an ordinary texture, drawn by the machine's renderer. A
resource pack replaces any of them without a line of code — the saw blades, the drill bits, the fan
blades, the millstone cogs, the crushing wheels, the press heads, the mixer whisks.
The saw blades come in two versions on purpose: an animated texture while the saw is
running, and a still one when it is not. A saw with no motor behind it stands still, the way
Create's does. You cannot stop an animation on one block — the whole atlas is what scrolls — so
a stopped saw is drawn with a second model pointing at a second texture.
GOOD TO KNOW
• It is needed on both client and server.
• Create 6 and RPG: SkillTree are both required.
• Parts carry their two numbers in the tooltip, so you never have to look up a table: the grade
multiplier, and what it does to stress.
• Mixer and Fan borrow Create's own whisk and propeller as their iron part, rather than
shipping a second item that does the same thing.
• Machines you have already built are not touched. The crowbar is how you opt in, one
machine at a time.
