What's new

Create: Packager Guard 1.0.0

Applicable versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • NeoForge 21.1.x
  • Create 6.0.x (developed and verified on 6.0.10)

First release

Fixes

  • Fixed the issue where a regular packager would still generate a package when "simulated extraction succeeded but actual extraction failed / was not deducted."
  • Fixed a duplication issue in the two-pass scan of the repackager, where a chute, hopper, or moving container interfered between the first simulated collection pass and the second actual extraction pass.
  • Handled target inventory timing changes caused by Sable sub-levels / moving structures.
  • Added conservative interception for container implementations that return items but do not actually deduct from the inventory, and log a single warning.
  • Kept the infinite-supply behavior of the creative crate unchanged.

Technical implementation

  • Open a transaction during the execution of attemptToSend / attemptToRepackage.
  • Simulated extraction is performed for real immediately, and the result is reserved.
  • Subsequent actual extraction consumes the reservation and no longer touches the inventory.
  • Unused reservations are returned when the method ends; the repackager consumes the reservation for the corresponding order when the order is completed.
  • Redirect getInventory() to the same handler within the transaction, preventing a second inventory fetch from bypassing the transaction.

Installation

  1. Place only the jar into the server-side mods directory.
  2. The client does not need to install it and can join the server directly.
  3. Singleplayer / integrated servers will not load this mod.
  4. Backing up the save is recommended before first use.

Testing notes

  • The regular packager has been verified on an actual server by packaging 64 items.
  • The repackager path has completed startup and Mixin injection verification; it is recommended to verify the specific order flow in a test save.
