You can find out using the command /radiation info {Name} or {@a}

In a radius of 10 blocks, the player is set on fire, and in 30, the player is affected by radiation. The player also receives a dose that will cause problems later

If you have a radioactive block in your inventory, you will receive a large dose of radiation.
