# Magnetism

Realistic magnetism and electrical engineering for Create.

## Magnets

- **Magnetite ore** in the overworld, processed with Create's crushing and washing or the Magnetic Separator.

- **Magnet blocks** (ferrite, neodymium, redstone electromagnet) with a full settings screen: north/south pole,

attract or repel, what they affect (everything, items, mobs, players), field cone, max range, power,

redstone control, a whitelist/blacklist item filter, and an option to keep the items they pull in.

- **Pole pieces** pressed from electrical steel make any magnet stronger and reach further.

- **Hand magnets** that pull every item around you, from either hand. Magnet blocks push or pull you depending on the pole you hold.

- **Collector Magnet:** place it on a chest and it fills it with nearby items, with a filter and adjustable radius.

## Power

- **Create rotation <-> FE:** the Dynamo turns stress into Forge Energy, the Electric Motor turns FE back into rotation.

- **Copper cables** with no transmission loss (see the energy in Jade, and little sparks while they carry power),

and batteries that keep their charge when mined.

- **Active Lightning Rod:** draws natural storm lightning from far away; every strike fills it completely.

- **Large animated multiblocks:** Industrial Generator, Industrial Motor, Tesla Coil and Wind Turbine.

## Machines

- Coil Winder and Magnetic Separator with animated 3D models driven by Create shafts.

- Magnetizer and Induction Furnace running on FE.

## Transport

- **Maglev rails:** minecarts levitate and fly along at three times normal speed.

- **Magnetic Elevator:** stand above it to rise, sneak to sink.

- **Floating Platform:** hovers over upward-facing magnets, glides when pushed and carries whoever stands on it.

## Extras

- Railgun and field meter (a gaussmeter that also detects buried magnetite).

- Create's wrench rotates the mod's blocks.

- Ponder scenes for the main machines, plus JEI and Jade support.
