What's new

Hotfix

  • Fixed the startup crash caused by MixinTrainRealism under Mixin 0.8.7.
  • Preserved symmetric acceleration and deceleration for trains moving in either direction.

Rendering and UI

  • Bogey menu previews show complete models, including wheels and lower frames.
  • The preview uses the selected bogey style and full lighting.
  • The client hides phantom track in the world, helper overlays, and train assembly mode.
  • The station renderer resets flag state between frames, keeping the flag in place after track binding.
  • Ponder scenes for conductors, couplers, doors, semaphores, and track switches use the Minecraft 26.2 formats.
  • We fixed flashing, duplicated, and displaced elements in Ponder scenes.
  • We removed stray translucent pixels from 137 track textures and the handcar frame. The texture fixes cover built-in track materials and compatibility with Biomes O’ Plenty, Blue Skies, BYG, Create DD, Hex Casting, Nature’s Spirit, Quark, TFC, and Twilight Forest.

Trains and Track

  • Players can start train assembly on monorail track with a creative-mode click or Railway Casing in survival mode.
  • Track switches retain their direction, automatic mode, lock state, and exits after a world reload.
  • Couplers retain their state, linked train, and occupied points after a world reload.
  • Handcar trains retain their type after loading a world.
  • Generic crossings retain their materials, update the track graph, and return both track items when broken.
  • Cased track retains its block entity data when connections change.
  • Route search handles incomplete track graphs without crashing.
  • Conductors stay seated on moving contraptions.

Blocks and Interactions

  • Hinged doors, sliding doors, and trapdoors handle item-use interactions through the Minecraft 26.2 API.
  • Buffers and headstocks accept dyes and materials, then retain the selected appearance.
  • Conductor vents and stacked smokestacks respond to player interaction.
  • Middle-click selects the matching buffer, headstock, bogey, or smokestack variant.
  • Buffers, crossings, casings, and smokestacks support waterlogging.
  • Comparators read signals from track switches and couplers.
  • Paint brushes use repair items from the repair tag.

Mechanics and Safety

  • Realistic mode limits the speed and acceleration of unfueled trains in both directions.
  • Handcars consume hunger while moving and use separate speed limits. Holding an Extendo Grip prevents hunger drain.
  • The track protection setting prevents creepers and ghast fireballs from destroying track.
  • Creative players can use the unlimited train relocation setting.
  • The server rejects mounted-toolbox packets that reference slots outside the hotbar.
  • An invalid cycle-menu selection no longer disconnects the player.
  • DataFixer leaves the SNR data version out of statistics and advancements.
  • The skipClientDerailing setting removes stutter while the track graph changes. The client does not render derailments while this setting is enabled.

Recipes

  • The data pack restores 274 missing recipes for fuel tanks, portable fuel interfaces, workbench minecarts, jukebox minecarts, conductor vents, cap recoloring, flywheels, and the full ladder palette.
