Create Curios Fire Compat (1.20.1 Forge Port)
Have you ever wanted to wear the Netherite Exoskeleton (from Create: Stuff & Additions) for its incredible strength and speed buffs, while keeping your Netherite Backtank in a Curios slot for pressurized air?
If you tried this in vanilla Minecraft 1.20.1, you probably noticed a frustrating issue: the moment you move the Backtank out of your main chest armor slot, Create's hardcoded logic breaks, completely stripping away your full-set Fire Immunity and Lava Vision.
This mod is an unofficial, back-ported fix that bridges the gap, allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds!
🗺️ What This Mod Does
-
Restores Fire Immunity: Forces the game to recognize a Netherite Backtank equipped in your Curios Back Slot as part of a complete diving set.
-
Fixes Lava Vision & Breathing: Grants you proper visibility and air consumption while submerged in lava lakes, even with a custom chestplate equipped.
-
Dynamic Full-Set Recalculation: Seamlessly tracks your equipment status whenever you swap armor pieces or modify your Curios slots.
-
HUD Compatibility: Keeps your client-side visual backtank air indicators updated accurately.
🛠️ Required Setup
To get these effects working simultaneously, your loadout should look like this:

-
Chest: Netherite Exoskeleton (or any other fire-resistant custom chestplate)
-
Legs: Netherite Leggings
