Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Your cannon was already big. Now the explosion feels big too.
HE & Blast Wave
- Supported CBC/NeoWarfare HE explosions now use 1.5× their original explosion strength.
- HE explosions generate a separate server-side Blast Wave with damage, knockback and its own death message.
- Blast Wave damage rapidly decreases with distance and affects each entity only once.
- Default physical radius: original HE radius ×6.5.
- Non-HE ammunition and projectile flight characteristics are unchanged.
Currently supported projectile paths include:
- Create Big Cannons HE Shell
- Create Big Cannons Flak Autocannon Round
- NeoWarfare HE Fragmentation Shell
- NeoWarfare HE Medium Cannon Cartridge
- NeoWarfare HE Fragmentation Medium Cannon ammunition
- NeoWarfare HEAP Shell
- NeoWarfare HEAP Medium Cannon ammunition
- Compatible extension projectiles that reuse these explosion paths
Obstacles & Destruction
- Walls and other obstacles strongly attenuate Blast Wave pressure; multiple layers compound the effect.
- Exposure is sampled across multiple points on an entity.
- Glass can be shattered, while wooden blocks have a chance to break.
- Both normal-world and Sable structure blocks participate in attenuation.
Visuals & Audio
- Added an expanding frosted-glass/refraction shockwave that distorts the world behind it and smoothly fades as it expands.
- Added optional client-side Blast Wave Debug rendering.
- Explosion sounds are delayed by distance at 200 blocks/s, with roughly 10× the previous audible range.
- Added distance-based camera shake, including Cannon Sight support.
Sable/Aeronautics Physics
- Blast Waves now apply real physics impulses to Sable structures.
- Mass, inertia, distance, obstruction and exposed area affect movement.
- Off-centre blasts can produce torque and rotation; heavy vehicles resist movement more than light structures.
- Static/constrained structures remain anchored.
- Impulse is capped for physics stability.
