Create: Beekeeping is a planned expansion for Minecraft’s Create mod that brings colony management, selective breeding, and mechanical honey processing together. Start with a small apiary, develop your own lines of bees, and grow your operation into a connected production system powered by Create.

The project is currently in development. The features below describe its intended scope.

Build and manage modular hives

Construct hives using brood boxes, honey supers, and removable frames. Brood boxes form the heart of your colonies, while honey supers provide additional space for honey production.

Add and remove frames as your operation grows, harvest honey-filled frames, and return extracted frames to the hive for reuse. Hive layout and available space are designed to become meaningful parts of managing a productive colony.

Get to know your colonies

A dedicated hive interface will let you inspect your queen and monitor colony strength, food availability, and swarm risk. Your apiary’s success will depend on supporting healthy colonies and responding to their changing needs.

Swarming is planned as part of colony management, giving players another reason to pay attention to hive conditions as their bee populations grow.

The intended experience replaces vanilla bee-based beekeeping with a colony-focused system built around these expanded hive mechanics.

Breed your own lines of bees

Genetics and selective breeding form the core of long-term progression. Develop promising breeding stock, compare traits across generations, and work toward colonies suited to your goals.

The aim is to make breeding a valuable part of improving honey and other bee-related production. Your bees become an ongoing investment, with each generation offering opportunities to refine your apiary.

Put Create to work

Build processing lines around the products your colonies generate. Planned equipment includes machinery for handling harvested frames, uncapping comb, extracting honey, and processing beeswax.

Connect beekeeping with Create’s mechanical systems to move from hands-on harvesting toward an automated operation. Frame handling and processing are intended to form a reusable production loop, linking your hives to your factory.
