This Minecraft mod currently adds three new food items to the game with different effects. (One of which is the Banana, which is currently unattainable in Survival Mode) This mod is in early development, and will be updated in the future.

Description
Currently, there are three items. Congratulations Style Steak, Ash and Bananas. Currently, only Congratulations style steak and Ash are obtainable in survival mode.
How to get CS steak:
Place cooked steak in either a furnace, smoker, or campfire.
SC Steak is not the best food source, with only 1 nutritional value and 0 saturation. (Thanks Liam for this idea lol)
Uhm, if you place SC steak in a smoker, furnace, or campfire, you will recive ash. Yeah, you can eat it....but I wouldn't recommend it.
