📬 CRAYFISHERS REFURBISHED: POST BOX ADDON

A quality of life expansion for the Post Box system from MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod: Refurbished.

Crayfishers Refurbished: Post Box Addon expands the existing Post Box with additional features designed to make sending and receiving mail more useful in both singleplayer worlds and multiplayer communities.

The goal is to build upon the original system rather than replace it. The familiar Post Box interface, package system, mailbox list, player heads, and general Refurbished Furniture experience remain intact while gaining better mail notifications, mailbox naming, player availability information, and optional reminders.

📬 CRAYFISHERS REFURBISHED: POST BOX ADDON

• A quality of life expansion for the Post Box system from MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod: Refurbished

• Builds directly on the existing Post Box rather than replacing it with a separate mail system

• Designed for both singleplayer worlds and multiplayer communities

• Keeps the familiar Refurbished Furniture Post Box interface and workflow while adding more functionality

✉️ MAIL NOTIFICATIONS

• Receive an immediate You've got mail! notification when another player successfully sends you a package

• Mail sent while you're offline isn't forgotten

• When you return, the addon lets you know that packages arrived while you were away

• Multiple packages received while offline are combined into a single notification instead of sending several messages at once

• Notifications are tied directly to successful deliveries through Refurbished Furniture's existing Post Box system

📦 UNOPENED MAIL REMINDERS

• Delivered packages can be tracked until they're actually retrieved from the mailbox

• If a package has been waiting too long, the addon can remind the recipient that they still have mail

• Reminder intervals are measured using Minecraft days rather than real world time

• Sleeping and other changes to world time naturally advance the reminder timer

• Time while the world or server is completely offline does not count

• Each package has its own timer, so receiving new mail doesn't reset older mail

• If a reminder becomes due while the recipient is offline, it can be delivered the next time they join

• Mail reminders and their interval can be configured

👤 ONLINE & OFFLINE MAILBOX STATUS

• Hover over the existing player head beside a mailbox to see whether its owner is Online or Offline

• Online status reflects whether the mailbox owner is currently connected to the same server

• Status updates while the Post Box interface remains open

• No additional status icons are added to the mailbox list

• The original player head is used as the hover target to keep the interface clean

• The Online and Offline tooltip can be enabled or disabled through the addon configuration

📝 BETTER MAILBOX NAMING

• New and renamed mailbox names are prevented from overflowing the space available in the original Post Box interface

• Instead of using a simple character limit, names are restricted according to their actual rendered pixel width

• Narrow characters can naturally allow longer names while wider characters take up more available space

• Characters that would make the name too wide are simply prevented from being entered

• Pasted names automatically accept only the portion that fits

• Existing mailbox names are left untouched unless you choose to rename them

• Installing the addon will not automatically shorten or rename mailboxes already in your world

⚙️ CONFIGURABLE FOR SINGLEPLAYER & SERVERS

• Designed to work in both singleplayer and multiplayer

• Local settings can control supported features in your own worlds

• Multiplayer servers can provide their own configuration for server controlled features

• Server settings take priority while you're connected to that server

• Your normal local configuration applies again when you leave

• This allows communities to provide a consistent mail experience without permanently changing a player's personal settings

🌐 MULTIPLAYER FRIENDLY

• Offline players can still have incoming deliveries tracked

• Multiple offline deliveries can be combined into one notification

• Unopened mail reminders can continue being tracked while recipients are away

• Mailbox owner status updates while viewing the Post Box

• Server controlled settings keep relevant features consistent between players

• The addon is designed so its additional functionality doesn't interfere with the familiar Refurbished Furniture mail experience

🪑 BUILT AROUND REFURBISHED FURNITURE

• Extends the existing Post Box from MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod: Refurbished

• Does not add a competing mailbox or separate mail system

• Preserves the original Post Box interface

• Preserves the existing package sending workflow

• Adds quality of life functionality around the system already provided by Refurbished Furniture

• Initial compatibility is specifically designed around Refurbished Furniture 1.0.20
