Adds crafting recipes for normally uncraftable Horse Armor and Nautilus Armor.

Description

Craftable Mount Armor is a small Forge mod that makes several types of mount armor craftable instead of forcing you to rely entirely on loot.

It adds simple recipes for Copper, Iron, Gold, and Diamond Horse Armor as well as Copper, Iron, Gold, and Diamond Nautilus Armor.

The recipes are intentionally simple and use seven pieces of the armor's matching material.

Existing vanilla recipes and Netherite upgrades are left alone.

What This Mod Does Not Change

• Leather Horse Armor keeps its vanilla recipe.
• Saddles keep their vanilla crafting recipe.
• Netherite Horse Armor keeps its vanilla Smithing Table upgrade.
• Netherite Nautilus Armor keeps its vanilla Smithing Table upgrade.

FAQ

Why make Horse Armor craftable?

Because it can be annoying to have plenty of materials but still need to search structures just to find the armor tier you want.

Why make Nautilus Armor craftable?

For the same reason. If you have the materials, you should have an option to make the armor instead of depending completely on loot.

Is Netherite Mount Armor craftable?

The mod does not add a normal crafting-table recipe for Netherite armor. Minecraft's existing Smithing Table upgrade is still used.

Does the mod change Saddle crafting?

No. Saddles already have a vanilla crafting recipe in these versions, so it is left unchanged.

Does this remove Horse Armor or Nautilus Armor from loot?

No. You can still obtain them through normal Minecraft methods. This mod simply adds another way to get them.

Does this require another mod?

No. Only Forge is required.

Can I use this in a modpack?

Yes.

Will you add more craftable mount equipment if Minecraft adds more?

Possibly. If Minecraft adds more uncraftable mount equipment in the future, I may add recipes for it too.
