Craftable Boss Ammo — Mod Introduction

Put the boss's signature attacks in your pocket: craftable boss-grade ammunition. Ghast Fireball Ammo, Dragon Breath Shell, Wither Skull Ammo and Blue Wither Skull Ammo — all four of vanilla's boss trademarks, craftable, launchable with a right-click, and even compatible with dispensers!

Mod Content

This mod adds 4 craftable ammo items that fully replicate the appearance and flight behavior of vanilla boss attacks. All stack up to 16.

1. Ghast Fireball Ammo

   Effect: Launches a ghast's Large Fireball along your line of sight; on impact it explodes and ignites nearby blocks
   Power: Identical to the fireballs fired by ghasts themselves
   Sound: Uses the ghast's shoot sound for maximum authenticity

2. Dragon Breath Shell

   Effect: Launches a projectile identical to the Ender Dragon's fireball; on hitting a block or mob it spawns a dragon breath area-effect cloud at the impact point, continuously damaging anything inside it
   Appearance: Flight trail and impact effects reuse the vanilla DragonFireball renderer — you can't tell it apart from the real thing
   Sound: Uses the fire charge use sound

3. Wither Skull Ammo

   Effect: Launches a plain black wither skull that detonates in a small explosion on impact
   Behavior: Identical to the wither's normal skulls — does not break blocks, safe for indoor use

4. Blue Wither Skull Ammo

   Effect: Launches a dangerous blue wither skull that detonates in a large, block-destroying explosion and applies the Wither effect to nearby mobs
   Behavior: Identical to the wither's charged skulls — full power

Shared Features

   Right-click to launch (vanilla throwable cooldown pacing)
   Dispenser compatible: load them into a dispenser and it fires them like any vanilla projectile
   All items appear in the vanilla Combat creative tab
   Stack size 16

   Ingredients: 3x Iron Ingot, 1x Dragon's Breath, 1x Popped Chorus Fruit

Wither Skull Ammo ×8

   Ingredients: 3x Gunpowder, 1x Wither Skeleton Skull, 2x Soul Sand

   Ingredients: 7x Diamond, 1x Wither Skull Ammo (black), 1x Nether Star

Requirements

   Minecraft: 26.1 / 26.1.1 / 26.1.2 / 26.2
   Loader: Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or newer
   Dependency: Fabric API (matching version)
   Java: 25

Installation

   1. Install Fabric Loader (https://fabricmc.net/use/) for your Minecraft version
   2. Place the craftable-boss-ammo-1.0.0+<MC-version>.jar matching your game version into the .minecraft/mods/ folder
   3. Also install the matching Fabric API
   4. Launch the game — the 4 ammo types can be found in the Combat creative tab
