  • Sky ambience effects

The sky will now darken accordingly to the Wither Storm's current phase

  • Mob panicking

Mobs near the Wither Storm will now panic and run away from the Wither Storm, depending on the phase

Any animal including most hostile mobs, such as zombies, creepers, etc. are affected by this feature

  • Tainted block clusters on death

Block clusters full of tainted blocks will now drop during the Wither Storm's death animation

Useful for players who want to use the tainted blocks for building, etc.

  • Added particles in the tractor beams
  • Players are now given targeting immunity when escaping a Wither Storm head
  • Added a separate tag for the Wither Storm's summoning blocks
  • Added an option to disable the Withered Symbiont from summoning
  • Config option to make debris render as 2D in later phases
  • Disabled music by default

It was pointed out by a user that, while I was fully aware when developing this mod, that there could be potential copyright issues with the Wither Storm theme which is used. While myself and others have had no issues, to play it safe the boss music has been disabled by default

  • The Withered Symbiont now uses a loot table to fetch its drop items
  • Wither sickness particles are now disabled by default
  • Added a tainted village bowels tunnel
  • Texture updates from Naza
  • Biggest changes are debris fade on the edges, Withered Symbiont retexture, and trapped mobs inside tainted flesh blocks
  • The Wither Storm will attempt to ignore mobs that is in another head's tractor beam
  • The Wither Storm will now attempt to find a nearby structure when becoming distracted
  • When using "/witherstormmod cluster create", players can now specify a Wither Storm for the cluster to be sucked into
  • Config option to disable Wither Storm healing has been added
  • Boats, minecarts and TNT can now be pulled in via tractor beams
  • Block clusters will now "shake" before being pulled in
  • The Wither Storm will now target slightly above fireworks when being distracted
  • The Wither Storm will now ignore recently killed players
  • The Wither Storm's XP drop has been buffed significantly
  • This XP also now spawns at the players location
  • Added an advancement for when a player looks at the Wither Storm through a spyglass
  • Unfortunately, due to MC limitations players must be near the WS and look at the bottom of its hitbox for the advancement to register properly
  • Added a block pickup blacklist tag
  • The Wither Storm will now be immune to formidibomb explosions when its hole is visible
  • Wither sickness will now be kept after death by default (configurable)
  • The player's tamed animals will now be teleported out of the bowels alongside the player when the Command Block is defeated
  • Players can now set a ultimate target override block position
  • Config option to render low res models when on the distant renderer has been added (Wither Storm LOD)
  • Added a phase 6-7 block cluster pick up interval
  • Some sounds in the mod have been replaced with ones extracted from MC:SM (thanks Naza!)
  • The roars, etc. are now much more clean and crisp. The main Wither Storm theme has also been replaced with a longer and less muddy version
  • The bowels ambience loop has also been changed out for the one present in MC:SM
  • The Wither Storm will now use the "minecraft:generic.attack_damage" attribute for head chomp attacks
