Types of crabs:-

Fiddler Crab:-

These crabs can be found in plains and river biome.

Tame them using salmon. These are completely passive to players. Once tamed, they will protect their owner

Fire Crab:- 

These crabs can be found in basalt deltas and nether wastes. These crabs can be tamed using magma cream. They are hostile to player. Once tamed, they will protect their owner. These crabs shoot fire balls when attacking and are also resistant to fire and lava.

Frost Crab:-

These crabs can be found in any snowy or icy regions. Tame them using cod. They are neutral to player ( they attack only if they are attacked ). They shoot projectiles which can cause freeze effect. It will make it's victim slow, blind and weak

Ghost Crab:-

These crabs can be found in beaches. They are bigger in size than the first 3 crabs. They can be tamed by tropical fish. Once tamed, they can be ridden. They will defend their owner as well.

All crabs will drop raw crab meat upon death, it can be cooked and be consumed. All crabs will also breed with their same kind when they find a suitable partner.

Ancient Crab :-

In caves, a new ore can be found named  "ancient ore". When mined, it will drop ancient egg. It is to be placed above a magma block. After some time, it will hatch into a baby ancient crab. It is quite useless for now,  but after some time it will become adult. Once it becomes an adult, right click on it to tame it. It is very strong and nearly immortal.

Ancient egg can also be traded from a wandering trader for pet amulet. Right click with this amulet on a pet to make it nearly immortal.
