What's new
Crabber’s Delight 1.3.0
- Additions:
- Bait, Lures, and Lines
- Additional items that can be used alongside your fishing rod to modify your fishing experience
- Can all be bought from Fisherman Villagers
- Tackle Box
- Holds your bait, lures, and lines as well as some general storage for easy transport of all your fishing gear
- Can be bought from Fisherman Villagers
- Tackle boxes will have their contents utilized in the following order:
- Main Hand
- Off-hand
- Hot bar
- Closest placed (in radius)
- Worms
- A new bait type that can be used for fishing to increase your odds of just getting fish
- Can be used in the crab trap to enable it to catch fish instead of the regular loot
- Can be obtained from breaking dirt-like blocks randomly, breaking wormy dirt, purchased from fisherman, or farmed directly in a Worm Bin block
- Dropping from dirt can be disabled in the config
- Can be used on Organic Compost to speed up their conversion to Rich Soil
- Wormy Dirt
- A uncommon block found mixed in with regular dirt underground that will drop dirt and 1-3 worms when broken without Silk Touch
- Worm Bin
- A upgrade to the composter, that can be given a compostable item to be turned into worms
- The amount of worms received is proportional to the value the item provides a composter
- Takes some time to process, but can be automated with hoppers
- Can be bought from Fisherman Villagers
- Life Preserver
- A new decorative block that can be placed flat on the ground, on walls, or to hang from ceilings
- Can be equipped in the leggings slot to make the player float on/to the surface of the water
- Shift-clicking a placed one will equip it
- Can be sat on as a seat
- Conch
- Conches are a new item that can be found randomly in treasure chests. Using it will give you a vague message from the ocean about your current Luck attribute
- Notes
- Single-page book like items that can similarly be signed, duplicated and more
- Can be placed as a block on the sides on blocks and written in place and left for other people to read
- Notes can be found by fishing or trapping Message in a Bottle items. These will contain written notes or rarely, treasure maps
- Players can write a note, bottle it, and throw it into the water. Doing so adds it to the loot pool until another player discovers it, which removes it from the loot
- Crafting the bottled note with an item will also save that item, giving it when the player opens the note
- Fishing Spots
- These are spots that spawn on the surface of the water, and fishing within them gives increased luck and bite rates
- The spawn locations of them are related the the surroundings, so a “good spot” may appear several times in the same location
- Swimming through or boating through these spots will make them disappear for a while
- Feature is configurable via config
- Fish Sizes
- Caught fish can now have 1 of 5 sizes. This size is influenced by your luck at the time of catching the fish
- Fish that are generated in chests or bought/sold from villagers all default to “regular” which doesn’t get the tooltip assigned, its just implied to be default
- Each size gives a multiplier on the food/saturation value of the fish
- Cooking the fish in a furnace/smoker/campfire preserves the size value for the food
- Cutting the fish on a cutting board will give more/less fish slices depending on size
- Compatible with any fish item that is part of the regular “fish” tag
- This entire feature can be disabled with a config
