covalence-fabric-1.3.1.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
First Fabric release, based on Covalence 1.3.1 for NeoForge. Includes the guide book, the EMC display and /covalence share.
Fabric beta. Same content and the same EMC values as the NeoForge version. Please report anything that behaves differently.
Required: Fabric API. Forge Config API Port is already included, you don't need to download it.
Optional: JEI, Jade, The One Probe. Mod Menu for the config screen, otherwise use the files in config/.
What is different from NeoForge:
- Worlds do not carry over between loaders. Knowledge, EMC and bags are stored in a different place on Fabric, so a NeoForge world opened on Fabric starts these from zero. Make a backup and don't switch loaders on a running world.
- No Curios. There is no Curios for Fabric and no Trinkets for 26.3, so rings and tablets can't go in a charm slot. They work from the inventory as usual.
- Claim and protection mods: they do see area mining with the hammer and similar tools. They do not see blocks placed by the Philosopher's Stone, Mercurial Eye, Arcana or projectiles, because Fabric has no event for that. Only spawn protection and the vanilla build checks apply there. On a server with claims, keep this in mind or disable those items.
- Keys: Shift + X for the helmet is part of the default binding. If you rebind it, the Shift goes away, and the controls screen can't set a modifier.
- Not available yet: WTHIT, EMI and CraftTweaker have no Fabric release for 26.3.
- Addons for the NeoForge version of Covalence or ProjectE don't work on Fabric.
- Datapacks: entries under
data_mapshave no effect on Fabric.
Other launchers: the game itself needs the JVM argument -XX:StackShadowPages=32, which the official launcher takes from Mojang's version file. A launcher that leaves it out can crash during startup with exit code -1073741819, with or without mods. If that happens, add the argument in your launcher's Java settings.
Server and client must both have this mod in the same version. Otherwise the server refuses the connection with a message about the network version. Multiplayer on a dedicated server has had the least testing so far.
